***Update:I first joined this site a few years back while I was separated; I think mainly because I was lonely and wanted new people to talk to. Then my husband and I worked things out and I stopped logging in. Sadly, he passed away about 6 months ago, but at least the sparks in our marriage had come back and we had some special times before I lost him. I've only been back on here for a week or so. Not even sure I should be here, but I know he would want me to have male companionship of some kind. So here I am.The diversity of those on this site fascinates me to no end. There are so many differences in personalities and interests, yet all sharing at least this one thing in common by being on here. People sure are interesting. :-) I hope to make some new friends while here. If I initiate contact with you through the site’s ***, I have read your profile and something you’ve written has caught my attention. I do, on occasion, write to someone that I already know will not be interested in me as a potential match (some of you fellas are more specific than others when describing what you’re looking for), or vice versa. Don’t assume my intentions are anything other than an appreciation of some part of you. Chances are, I honed in on your great sense of humor and thought I’d enjoy chatting with you, want to compliment you on your excellent profile-making skills, or am curious and/or interested to learn more about some content in your profile. Now on to an attempt to describe myself……I hold back opening up to someone until I feel comfortable with them…sometimes that happens quickly, sometimes it takes awhile and sometimes it’s just not gonna happen.I am not outgoing, but I’m not an introvert either. I love meeting and listening to people, yet until someone gets to know me, they usually think I’m shy. I tend to be one of the more quiet ones in a group setting. That’s because I’m trying to hear what everyone else has to say. If you’re looking for “the life of the party” type of gal…I’m not her. More likely, I’m one of her dearest friends though.I love music…just about any kind. Always have. Always will. I can’t imagine a life without it. I have a deep respect and admiration for musicians (and a bit of envy). I will listen to anything at least once.I love animals…especially the furry kind.If I’m with friends…I’m usually having fun, regardless of what we are doing or where we are at. I enjoy both indoor and outdoor events/excursions/whatever else you care to call them. If you’re with the right person ANYTHING can be fun!I love road trips, preferably unhurried. I like taking time to stop and see the little things that aren’t necessarily mentioned in any tour guide and watching people along the way, and hopefully hearing their stories. I’ve never been able to work any world traveling into my budget, but if my sister ever wins the lottery (because I don’t play, and she promised to share if she ever wins big LOL), there are so many places I’d love to see! Some of my turn-offs:LiarsCrueltyMeaniesFakesFreeloadersRacistsClosed MindsCheatersControl FreaksHatersHomophobesInsecurityTo find the key to my heart you will need to be genuine, young at heart, well-mannered, loving, self-sufficient (I won’t be your maid, mommy or bank), honest, kind, have smiling eyes and a sense of humor (if you make me laugh, you’re halfway there).I don’t understand the concept of people “looking for a long-term relationship”. That is not something you find…IT finds you. If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen, whether you want it to or not, AND not on your own personal preplanned timeline, but when it’s the right time for IT. I think some people get so caught up in the ‘looking’ that they forget to cultivate the friendships that could have been growing. One, of which, may have eventually blossomed into the exact thing they were looking for all along, but never end up finding due to their own haste and lack of patience. Look, if you feel the need to, but don’t throw away the friends you meet along the way.May you find joy in your life, Peace of mind, and laughter in your heart. Thanks for stopping by. xoxo I have not had a first date in years. No, make that decades!Open to suggestions. It seems obvious that it should be someplace we'd be able to talk and see if we're connecting at all. I suppose it would also depend on how much we had already talked on the phone or *** and forth. This is too generalized....to many unknowns for a definitive answer.

A date, a friendship, a romance?Would anyone else like to have a date, that grows into a friendship, that might turn into a romance?Who else would like to talk, laugh, and enjoy time together with a special person?I hope to find someone that wants to share both low-key, relaxing times at homeand exciting, fun activities in the community. (or vice-versa)Developing a friendship, is the best way to start. If you too, are looking for someone to share the enjoyment and quirks that life has to offer,I would love to hear from you.I can be fun, and interesting. My sense of humor is pretty good, and I enjoy playful banter.I also have a peaceful side.I love to read, and enjoy spending time relaxing, and doing projects at home. The challenge is finding a fair balance between these two sides.I want to find a life partner that can be comfortable with just me, sharing a home-life.But not so sludge-like that he has no desire or energy to find and enjoy out of the house activities.A non-smoker.A man that doesn't take himself so seriously.A man that understands that kissing can be an art-form, if done well. Please . . .-cream cone.
