About Me

It is so hard to write about myself! I think my friends would say I am an attractive, affectionate, loving, intelligent, independent, thoughtful woman who is generous to a fault. I love laughing and making others laugh too. I am happy with my life. I am a positive person who always looks for the good in a person or situation. I love to cook and bake, and I am good at it according to family and friends. My faith is very important to me and it would be extra great if I could find someone with whom to share that aspect of my life as well. I am looking for a man who is honest, thoughtful, kind, generous, and financially secure .... to share our thoughts and dreams together. I am very active and like to be outside doing anything....yes even in the winter! I have a horse whom I love to ride, a pair of skis that I can usually stay upright on, and I have recently recommitted to running, with a goal to do a 5K soon (Not a very lofty goal I know! But you have to start somewhere, right?). I love parks, swimming pools, backyard decks or patios (with grills on them!), beaches, mountains, old people who still hold hands, and animals, because they know how to love. Staying at home and cuddling on the couch, kissing, holding hands, looking deeply into each others eyes, casting a knowing glance across the room (as if there is some secret joke) are also tops on my list of favorites.If you are interested in anything I have said, please drop me a note :-) Thank you for reading and God bless! I am a military nurse and systems engineer, but really just a renaissance woman at heart who is just trying to making a living! For those who have served or have lived the military life in one capacity or another understand the sacrifices that often come with it. Now fortunately, after all these years, things have started to simmer down and some stability is on my horizon. I'm at a place in my life, where I can now reap the benefits of the experiences it has given me, and for that I am very grateful. However, I am an adventurer at heart and find tremendous joy in travel and aiding others in less traveled areas of the world when the opportunity arises. There is an explorer that lives deep within me, and channeling my energy can sometimes be a challenge, even for me. No, it really not quite that bad, I'm just having a little fun... But do admit, if I were independently wealthy, I would spend much more time abroad helping others. But, I do feel I am better suited to spend my time with someone who shares my interests rather than with someone who wants to try to change me. I love music, playing the piano, gardening, spending time in nature, photography, collecting art to enjoying fine food and company.Well, more on this later...Clearly, this is a work in progress..Have a fine day...BTW - I really won't respond to winks..It's just not my style..     Not really a hobby but my favorite thing in life is being a mom to my 2 grown children. Nathan has started college this fall and studying Accounting and playing baseball.
