Wow, you'd think this would be such a easy thing to do, write about the person you know the best, yourself, but its hard. Anyway, here goes.I am growing more and more evolved as a person, confidante, friend, lover, sister, mother. I have been blessed with two amazing children (most of the time) lol.My desires are simple. I am a woman that would hope to easily earn your respect, and honor, have a have degree of integrity, and wants true commitment. I would like to find someone that has an awesome sense of humor, can keep me laughing during challenging times( as all couples occasionally have) loves the outdoors and nature, and respects and values thoughts and opinions of others even if You and or I may not resonate with that opinion. I have a real desire to connect with people of other cultures, and enjoy great conversations and experiences. I do not "date around", so if you are a serial dater, or are just interested in an occasional fun night out without looking any further into the future, please do not respond to me. I am a one man woman.... like my mom used to say, " you never know when you kiss that frog you may just fall in love". Those pheromones can be pretty strong!But believe me, I've been divorced over 10 years and it hasn't happened yet, but I am the eternal optimist.... and I do believe I'll find " my" perfect one.Additionally I have known people that feel that they needed to drink every day to "feel good, relax, and enjoy themselves". I have dated people that do this, and realize fully that this is not a habit I feel is healthy and beneficial. Do I drink socially, yes, but only socially. I love outdoor sports, especially water skiing, snow skiing, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, soccer, basketball, and rock climbing (before rotator cuff tear repair). I love to try new things, and typically don't shy away from challenges, unless the result could be dangerous ( I love my kids too much)! As for travel and nature, there is nothing better than spending time in the sun, and taking in all that nature has to offer. I love the mountains, (camping also) especially in the fall, but also have a real affinity for the ocean. I also am a real fisherwoman, therefore I try to spend as much time around any body of water. It brings great calm and serenity over me, and makes me feel one with the earth.My profession is slightly atypical, as I am in the naturopathic healing field. I am VERY happy with my life, feel blessed that I too spend my life in a field that I am helping other people to improve their lives, and am at a great place. I have many clients, and want to continue a more natural, healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately I have had a couple of sports injuries in the past couple of years, but am getting ready to get that taken care of as well. LIFE!! It's all good!Animals are a huge part of my life, always have been, and I have shih tzh puppies and young persian cats. I believe they are truly a valuable addition to one's psyche. Some I simply can't pull from my hat right now.Travel and culture is also a passion of mine. I have had the opportunity to visit Europe several times, have taken my 2 children for extensive periods of time, and believe this is one of the best forms of education you can provide to children.I hope this gives you some insight into me, and my desires for my a continued healthy, happy life. Want to become acquainted if for no other reason a new friendship with a native Charlottean? Please, please know though if you only feel that sending a note with a "hi" it says to me you don't think taking the time to right a more personal note is worth your time. Additionally, I don't date anyone that are separated or recently divorced. I do feel it takes time to get through several ( at least 2 years) to work through necessary angst, pain, and ex issues to become ready for a real, happy and non comparison relationship. I've seen it too often hurt too many people, as well as myself and don't choose to walk that path again.     It is so hard to write about myself! I think my friends would say I am an attractive, affectionate, loving, intelligent, independent, thoughtful woman who is generous to a fault. I love to cook and bake, and I am good at it according to family and friends. I am very active and like to be outside doing anything....yes even in the winter! I love parks, swimming pools, backyard decks or patios (with grills on them!), beaches, mountains, old people who still hold hands, and animals, because they know how to love.
