I am a pretty geeky guy. I love to play video games and watch movies. One thing that I really enjoy is a good discussion. It does not have to be about any thing special, just something that is interesting. I love all kinds of movies from romantic comedies to the epics. As far as music is concerned I like Techno and anime music, as well as hop hop(old school and new) rock, and pop. I like just chilling and shooting the breeze. Also I cuss like a sailor. My sense of humor can be any where from dark to slap stick at any given time, so in that thought I would use the word random to describe me. I like to find humor and comfort in the simple things. In my opinion a first date should be used to get to know each other a little more. I would take them out to dinner, some place cozy not to high or low end. Both during dinner and after it would be nice to spend time in conversation and getting to know each other. Maybe going for a walk or a good place to sit and hang.

I'm active - I run a lot, and I like to get a work out in more days than not. Like most nerds, I like to read. Most of what I read has to do with my research, so it's usually something about social networks, social media, and technology and society. I also write a lot - I'm the creator and editor of a blog about research methods - it truly is exciting stuff! I wouldn't say I'm a workaholic because I'd probably being doing my job as a hobby if I weren't getting paid to do it.I play the guitar like ***the people on this planet. I try to get out a lot - both locally and not so local. I travel when I can - there's still quite a bit left on my to-do list. New experiences are important, so if you have something new an exciting to do, let me know. In general I like really cool things, and here are a few: football, mountains, beaches, everything in between mountains and beaches, the arts (music, performing, folk, the kind you just look at), craft beers, cooking (I tend to cook healthy, but I can make some super unhealthy things too). As for what I'm looking for, I'm looking for the most awesome person in the world. Probably drinks or coffee.
