I'm very cerebral and a bit eccentric fish. I'm the guy that is thinking and focusing so hard while on the elevator that he gets out on the wrong floor, or he walks out of one room, into another and forgets why the hell he was going there in the first place. I do have a great sense of humor and am fun to be around. : )I love to travel and experience new cultures. I've been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to live overseas in both South America and Eastern Europe and travel extensively throughout the world. I still have a lot of places I want to see, so if you enjoy traveling, that would be a big plus. In addition to travel, I also enjoy weightlifting, rock climbing, skiing, reading, dining out, dining in (however if it doesn't involve a grill, a pot of boiling water or a microwave, I shouldn't be involved), movies, concerts and spending time with family. I love my job, which is good because I spend a lot of time there.I've been on here for most of this year, and I have met some interesting women (although nobody I would consider long-term material for various reasons). Like most people, I have an extensive laundry list, which is one of the reasons I'm single. I know. I get it. It is what it is. So I'm trying something different in lieu of just quitting the site. I'm just looking to meet new people and see where it goes. That's it - nothing complicated. I really don't think you can expect more out of something like this. So good luck and happy fishing. Si tu prefieres contestarme en espanol, esta bien. Tengo que practicar mas porque no quiero olvidar todo mi espanol. I'm sure we'll figure something out.

So tough to say what would be an ideal match. I am educated and very open-minded and I am seeking someone who is not sheltered and lulled to sleep like most people I meet. I love to read and write and discuss many things and I need someone who can keep up or least show some interest in what I am passionate about. I need adventure and someone to share new things with, someone who can be spontaneous, especially when it comes to travel. I am so tired of the old adage that nice guys finish last. I cannot understand why a person like me who will cook for you and listen and engage you in conversation and really appreciate you for who you are scares most women or at least most that I have met. I can honestly say that there are very few (if any) men out there like me. I consciously strive to be unique and to separate myself from the norm, but at the same time I am very mellow, relaxed and thoughtful. What else can I say? This stuff is supposed to be fun and that is why I can't understand why so many people settle for mediocrity.UPDATE: If you cannot spell or speak properly please do not bother me. What I do find amusing are all the comments that a guy should have his own car and a job and not be lazy and make excuses and not be a player and so on. Ladies, do not settle for these jerk-offs. There are men out there that don't fit that profile (god I hope). I guess that these kind of sites attract all sorts of creeps--men who are married, sexual predators and the like.UPDATE:I guess I just wanted to add that I have finally gotten some current pics of myself on the site. I have really been getting into all kinds of new excercise stuff lately. A friend got me to try P90X because he said it was impossible (which it nearly is), and I got hooked trying to see if I could keep up. Through it I discovered yoga (at least their version of it). It is one of the most difficult and most rewarding things I do now. I love being active outdoors, however, I don't find it as enjoyable doing those kinds of things by myself. I would love to meet someone with whom I could enjoy those outdoor activities. Someone who really likes doing that kind of stuff. I want to get a kayak and have a river adventure, I want to go see something beautiful I have yet to see. Its funny though, in reading other people's profiles you'd think that meetville. was a refuge for nature lovers. Almost everyone lists hiking and camping and fishing as hobbies or interests. My favorite, of course, is shopping. Ladies, I know you love to shop, but shopping is not a hobby. lolMy main reason for being on this site is boredom. I am so sick of not having anything fun to do. Let's go have some fun!! Dinner at a nice restaurant comes to mind first, except nice restaurants are hard to find around here. That would work if the certain someone enjoyed that kind of thing--food and wine are two of my passions. Otherwise, weather permitting, I would love to go somewhere outdoors in our beautiful PA mountains for a hike and perhaps a light picnic. Also, I think going to see a movie for a first date is a horrible idea. Sitting next to and not across from each other in an environment where you are not supposed to talk is not my idea of getting to know someone.
