I live in vacation country, on the water and love the outdoors. I love to read and would like it if you did too.I mountain bike in the summer and fall, kayak on Georgian Bay during the summer, love to x-country ski in the winter as well as curling three nights a week in season. So you can see I am active and while I like movies I am not what you would call a couch potato.I have other hobbies as well.I don't think that I am in my final occupation because it is just not challenging enough. There is not too much choice up here .I like most music including the classics and am close to my family. My niece and nephews like me and I them... so kids are no problem if you have one.I could be a vegetarian but I'd miss the fish since I am hooked on calamari, lobster and crab not so much chicken or steak.I am looking to date and hope it will turn into a long term relationship.I hope you like what you have read here and will send me a note... who knows where this will go... but nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you have read this far... great. If I favorite you it means I see something in your profile that interests me. If you favorite me in return then I will write you and if we have anything worth pursuing let's try. I've had first dates that include... just coffee (I prefer hot chocolate),or breakfast, or lunch. The weather is getting more enjoyable so something outdoors would be nice.

I enjoy traveling, sports, music, and movies. I try to balance my life between work and pleasure. Someone who doesn’t let the past hinder the future or doesn’t think the world revolves around just them.

I'm abit of mutt when it comes to interests. I enjoy a lot of the outdoors. The kayak I got at Christmas has already been used a few times year already, hoping for more opportunities. Then there are the state parks around here to go hiking/running in. Given that I'm new to the area, do you have suggestions to check out first? I'll take hiking trails or places to run. There is the inner geek too. I've enjoyed the surge of Comic Book movies. Or following Dr. Who/ Torchwood. And why yes, I do use a proxy for BBC. Do you? The Star Trek reboot has been good, but SW is a different animal. So what am I looking for? A chimera like myself. Most my friends and co-workers are married with kids. If something develops from there, great! But I'm not in a rush at this point. Beyond that, there is no reason not to expand the number of people I know. First Dates I think depend on the common interests. Right now I'd enjoy meeting someone that can run *** about 9 min/mile pace, but that's b/c I'm training for the ING Half. Otherwise, I'd enjoy good Bluegrass/Americana/Rockabilly concert after a small meal. Or a hike/kayak session. I've got a diverse set of interests so it could be anything.
