Hello !!!!!! I found your profile and your picture very intriguing and I would enjoy learning more about you and your future interests! I am first…………..looking for a very best friend. A loving and supportive companion who is athletic and fit; enjoys the outdoors and a variety of other activities. One whom ultimately is committed to becoming a true partner, and hopefully becomes excited to do the work of developing a long term relationship. I think we have many things in common and a very good foundation upon which to build a wonderful relationship, if we find that we are well suited for each other. A well-rounded person who is mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially grounded and stable. At this age ,I have no interest in drama, infidelity, or mental/emotional *** ! I was raised by three generations of very independent, extremely hard working Appalachian women; and their men respected them & treated them as equals in every way ! This is the environment I grew up in. So I much prefer an independent woman than one whose identity is too much woven into her husbands'. As far as helping people I have done > ***hours of volunteer work, in many ways; most, but not all, related to sports. Coaching Elementary & Middle School basketball teams, as the Team Physician at local High Schools in every community I have lived in, while on the Sports Medicine Physician Staff at Michigan State University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Colorado College and for 16 years as part of the Physician Staff at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have worked at many soup kitchens on holidays and I have just started a new, project to hopefully develop a chapter of the Healing Water’s Foundation to volunteer to take disabled U.S. veterans fly fishing with other volunteers. I also volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and really enjoy helping to build homes for such worthy families. While in private practice in Colorado Springs, Co I started a the El Paso County Physician’s Foundation and to date we have raised > $1.5M which has ALL been given to organizations like: The Battered Women's Center, CASC, Indigent Health Clinics, Boy's & Girl's Clubs, Special Olympics, etc. I know that relationships are not perfect and that there are speed bumps in every endeavor like this. One key is to first always respect each other and learn and teach each other how best to resolve conflict(s) BEFORE they arise in a peaceful, calm and non-judgmental way! 1. I like the mantra: “ Never go to bed if you are still angry about something with your partner”. 2. Another mantra that I have always had is: “Life is a Team Sport “ Again, I think we have many things in common ! I would enjoy learning more about you and your interests and what you would like in a partner to be extremely happy with the last ***years of your life Thank you very much !
