Life is better when you're in a good relationship. I'm fun, smart, and friendly.. and would like to meet someone who can say the same. I don't have a long list of deal breakers, but I think it's hard to find someone you truly connect with on a deeper level. Easy conversation, open communication, common interests plus attraction and chemistry.. those are the qualities that make a lasting relationship. I live near Wrigley and work near Union Station, so I'd like to date a guy who lives and/or works in the city, too. I like movies, live comedy, new restaurants, new bars, long walks and dog parks. My pics are recent. Send me a *** that sounds good.

I suppose like just about everyone else who tries this online dating thing, I never quite know what to say about myself without sounding cliche. So I'll try to be original and clever without sounding too lame or boastful... I grew up in a family with a great sense of humor, so I can take a joke at my expense...but I have to warn that I deliver a lot of them too. I'm the middle child, which I think has shaped me into someone who's easy to get along with (often having assumed the role of "peacemaker"), and am a firm believer in not sweating the small stuff. I changed careers several years ago from that of an accountant to pharmacist, and love my [relatively] new career. That said, I value my personal relationships (e.g., family/friends) far more than my work. I consider myself fairly new to the area, but since it's now been over 6 years I suppose I'm close to earning veteran status in this transient town. I still enjoy doing a lot of the touristy activities around DC, like the museums and especially checking out the monuments at night. I'm a music lover, (but sadly have no talent for it myself) and love going to concerts of just about any kind. I enjoy cooking and baking, but true to my Italian heritage I seem to always make enough to feed an army...and cooking for myself is just not that fun...I am not looking for anyone of a specific educational background or someone who makes a certain salary. . I am looking for someone who is interesting (and I think lots of different things make people interesting...yes, things like education and travel are a couple of them, but they are certainly not the ONLY things), has a good heart, and can make me laugh.

Oh, this is the fun part. How to make yourself stand out in a crowd or should I say school of millions. :) I'm definitely an outdoor type, love anything to do with being around the water-beach/lakes. See the interest list above, but I can be just as happy chillin' inside at times watching various kinds of movies, TV, or playing different games with my kids. My interests do not include: golf (unless you want/need a good laugh!), fishing, & race cars. But I have no problem with you needing your guy-time, as much as I need my girl/shopping time! :) My 3 kids(ages 16,14,***keep me pretty busy, but I now realize I need to take care of myself & am ready to find someone to enjoy time together. I am a Christian & will not compromise on that importance. Relationships are work & require honesty even from the beginning. Life is too short as everyone says. I'm in no hurry, but look forward to the day that I find that special someone that is my best friend to share/experience life with growing old together. I'm honest, a hard worker-love my flexible job, financially secure, confident, independent (yes-some people think stubborn, I say strong-willed can be a positive thing!) with a little sarcasm...ok maybe more than a little! I'm looking to meet a respectful, moral, understanding, "live life to the fullest" type of guy, ~***yrs. old caucasian male. I'm a professional, & no offense but I expect similar standards. Addendum: I would be happy at this point making friends with single men. I realize I'm being kind of chicken at this whole "dating" thing & would be most comfortable as friends, then maybe it will turn into something more :) Sorry to say, but I think you guys are pretty chicken too. I know I'm a good catch, don't be bashful. What do you have to lose?***Just to help you out & save you & I both some time: There is NOTHING about me that is country, or a "biker babe". If you have a motorcycle don't expect me to ride with you! First date... just somewhere simple where we can get to know each other & see if we click.
