About Me

I just moved back to Roanoke, VA, my beloved hometown. No matter how long I stay away, I come home & heal, recharge my soul. I lived in IL., near Bloomington where my sister was an MD & my Ex 's job moved him. Worked *** RMH forever and moved to NC in ***. From Greensboro, I moved to Monterey, CA to get to know my birth mother-not an Oprah moment. Met my first & prob. last husband on Match.com & moved to San Jose, CA. I had to have the first of 4 spinal fusions 3mos after our wedding. It failed. So I had my 3rd surgery in SF Med.Ctr. , got Staph in the OR & spent 2nd anniv. in a coma. My Ex said we had a great time. After 3 mos. in SF med Ctr., I went to Stanford to have PT til I almost killed my therapist for another mo. We moved to beautiful IL. and I am almost back to 100% but no more horse back riding. I just love animals, all animals. Maybe I will just buy a poor disabled horse to take care of for the rest of it's life even if I never get to ride it. My Ex has found anotherYoung Lady and is moving back to CA. I am selling my house but so ready to come back to the south where there really is something to be said for a" Southern Gentlemen, " whether you were born in the South or not. There is something about men in the South. I am looking forward to getting to know Roanoke again, my Blue Ridge Parkway, Smith Mountain Lake--where I know most of my friends are hanging out. But since I have been gone so long this time, my friends are all married and their kids are grown up. Oh well, once you're a Virginia Girl, you're always a Virginia Girl. I look forward to connecting with my old friends but I also really look forward to making some new friends. I have changed some and when you live in CA esp near Santa Cruz, surf city, well, the town and the surfing atmosphere get's to you, so I hope you have an open mind. OK, looking forward to meeting some great gentlemen for dinner, lunch, coffee, walks and some funny conversation. I love a man with a great sense of humor! I love to laugh--it's the best healer in the world for everything from bad illnesses to broken hearts. Ciao ! PS I am moving physically on July 3-6.
