I work part time on my own business, writing & selling motorcycle maintenance manuals. When not at the computer keyboard, I split by time between the garden and the pushbike.
When I moved here I discovered the joy of looking after a large garden, and a few weeks later I discovered the time it takes to look after a large garden. Currently my enthusiasm outweighs my expertise, so depending on the day you ask me the learning curve is either a joy to behold or fraught with impassible steps and precipices. I am also handy with a saw and a chisel and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from completing a DIY project, but I’m hopeful that my house won’t need too many more things doing now.
As for character, I don't really like to label myself. I'm multifaceted, with different people and situations bringing out very different qualities. However, I think some core traits run through regardless. I'm honest and straight talking (within the realms of tactfulness), completely faithful and dependable, fun and sociable, humorous, very loyal, reliable; considerate, tactile, open-minded, romantic, sensitive, creative and a bit cheeky at times (well you need a bit of flirtatious banter to balance up the deeply stimulating conversations). I’m active & healthy, cycling several times a week for both fitness and to be out in the countryside but I’m not gym-obsessed, I like to look after myself so I eat healthy food but I'm not a diet-demon.

There’s no strict set of criteria for Ms Right, as chemistry can’t be defined by ticking online boxes. Although some things would initially pique my interest ... A woman who looks after herself, but is not vain, someone who is in reasonable shape, has a good sense of style, and smells nice! Someone who has an opinion and enquiring mind, but is a good listener too. Someone who is confident and assertive but open to suggestion. Someone who can laugh at themselves, as well as at me! Honesty and fidelity are non-negotiable.
I have an open mind, and a keenness to enjoy the life I have and to expand upon it, hopefully with someone special....
