About Me

I am looking for people to chat with and to get to know and make new friends with, and then see what happens! I live in London, UK and have been widowed since 18 months and am looking to chat and make new friends. I have adult children, some who live with me and others who live with their partners and children. I am an HSP, an Empath and a Pisces! I used to work as a therapist/counsellor but have had to take time off this as I have Fibromyalgia (Chronic pain and fatigue,) which currently stops me from doing many of the things that I enjoy, but meanwhile I am on a recovery program and so hope to get my health back, which is possible. I love deep conversations about a variety of things and enjoy learning new things, and about the world we live in, history, travel and different cultures, doing family history, writing poetry and prose, reading fiction and non-fiction, listening to music (most genres except country and western, opera, rap and heavy metal!) I enjoy playing board games such as scrabble and Agricola. I love nature, the sea, and sunsets. I am a spiritual person but not religious. I enjoy going to places of interest and museums, the cinema, and eating out in quiet and relaxing venues. I am also creative and sometimes like to cook, and occasionally play guitar, garden and do art and crafts. I hate the damp and cold of the English climate and much prefer warm and dry, sunny climes such as The Canary Islands or similar places! I don’t like people who are bigoted or extremist in their views, or rudeness, violence and racism.
