About Me

I am a Toledo native and have lived here all my life. I like people and I am comfortable in crowds, so I guess I am primarily an extrovert, but I also like the experience of one on one. I've lived alone for a long time now and I like my personal space and I am comfortable being alone. But I get lonely at times and it gets tiresome at my neighborhood bar since I don't drink as much as I did in my younger days. So I will get in my car and drive, or go for a walk in the neighborhood or at a park just to get out of the house. I tend to take each day as it comes and try to make the best of it. I worked in the computer industry for ***years. Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology and ***of a master's degree. I'm retired (well actually got laid off 10 yrs ago & couldn't get another job) but I'm planning on getting a part-time job, maybe a volunteer job. I like to stay busy, working around my house, fixing things. I like yardwork and anything out of doors, even in the wintertime. I like to read and play music with my friends. I play sax, flute and bass guitar and I believe it is necessary to have a good time with lots of music, especially in these times of Covid-19. I like playing cards and other games. I like kayaking, fishing and hiking, and I like coaching my grandkids for softball & basketball. I've been interested in Buddhism since my early college days, when I was a liberal arts major and I have studied Philosophy all my adult life. I have no problem with people who are religious, but organized religion is not for me.
