I am looking forward to meeting a female companion that, first of all, I can call my "best friend" before anything else, and who, among other things, would enjoy sharing outdoor fun activities, as well as social functions, and, of course, last but not least, romance and love, as a couple. I am real, not into the bar scene, or playing "head games" with anyone's emotions. I love to chat, but I am also a very good listener and enjoy "in-depth" conversations. I believe that the simple things in life can give us the most pleasure. For example, a simple walk and talk holding hands can mean a lot. I may not be a world traveller, but I do enjoy going on road trips to different cities to shop or see the sites. I especially enjoy the outdoors, and love to ATV in summer and snowmobile in the winter because it gets me out exploring the beautiful country we have right here in our own back yard, and photographing it. When out ATVing one time in early Spring, I came across two abandoned 3 week old kittens on a railbed, that were freezing to death - brought them home, took them to the vet, nursed them back to health, and now they are healthy and playful brother and sister kittens. I never thought I would end up with two kittens, I was always a dog lover, but they are cute, fun to watch play together, and good company. I also like the finer things in life like theatre, fine dining, and attending various organized social events. Overall, I hope to find someone that is down to earth, healthy, and has a good personality so that we can compliment each other. I have been told that I don't look my age as you would see if you met me, and people have guessed my age to be in the forties, I consider myself an average looker, I am in good health (take no meds or pills), active, a non-smoker, social drinker if at all, never did drugs, and no tatoos. So, if you share some of my thoughts and think we may have some compatibility, I would be happy to hear from you! For the first date, I think simple is best - go for a coffee, or sit in a quiet restaurant and talk - no pressures - however I think this is something that really should be decided together.

I got my haircut this week, my barber is back! He is fighting cancer so the least I can do is wait till he's feeling well! He's been my barber for 41 yrs! Thanks for popping by. Writing about oneself may turn away the one I'm looking for, but I'll try it anyway lol. I'm a single dad with a variety of interests. Enjoy being outdoors, all seasons, have a canoe, mooch a cottage :), downhill and cross country are my favs, I suspect because they get my adrenalin pumping. Gainfully employed, enjoy my work, its like getting paid for a hobby. Most guys envy my work :) woman however do not do it, never seen a one in my 30 years of work, hence I'm online looking. Own my condo (well the bank owns it) own my car! woo who! Love my son (even though he's a teenager lol) like his dog (Scruffy, same curly salt and pepper hair like mine lol, dog is part time too, but not shared custody), like to cook, especially if its with that special someone. An hopeless romantic for sure, and it doesn't have to be every day or ***just little things that show we're on the same team. Like all kinds of music. Play lots of it too, as in listening, two surround sound systems, a stereo, two computers and a laptop, main theme here is virtually every room has speakers in it. My friends say I'm loyal, practical, dependable, easy going, fun. Now what am I really looking for? Really, it's for long term. Love at first sight? Happens sometimes. I know its friends first and if it clicks then the lovey dovey stuff grows with me. Not to belittle love by using the term lovey dovey, Am truly a romantic at heart and not shy to show it in public! Those little words or gestures says a lot about how you really feel for someone. Now about you, your patient, compassionate, understanding, don't jump to conclusions, thin, relatively speaking of course, the new "average" is something to be desired lol, although I would describe myself as average, except when I look at all the belly's around me I now say "athletic" to describe myself lol!, energetic (just not too energetic) and enjoy your day to day living, much as I do. Yes I smoke often, it's not an addictive personality as others may think, it is a truly difficult vice to quit, and I am considerate of others "air" Not giving up on quitting though, I'm hoping to give it another shot this year. So, do I need dozens of woman to keep me happy, no, I'm not an extrovert, do I need dozens of woman for companionship, no, I'm pretty secure and comfortable with my self. Do I need one that will become my lover, confidant, supporter and friend? You bet, just one ...Thanks for reading, hope you like it and good luck for you to find yours. I much prefer a bar or pub first. Dinners are also nice , but I 'd rather do that after a few dates. Live music is always good too, at least good for dancing, not so much for talking, yet you can still get a few words in. Walks in the city, walks in the country. Pretty much whatever you're comfortable with, I like variety and I don't mind trying something I have never done before, which shouldn't be too many things, also we can decide together if it gets that far.
