About Me

I am a single mom of three sons...two being grown and gone. I love life and feel like I am living life for the first time in 26 yrs. I am a mommy of a 5yr old son so he is part of my package. Don't bother me if this bothers you. I don't believe in wearing masks. What you see with me is what you get! I don't want there to be any surprises, so you need to know that I am NOT Miss America nor am I BARBIE..I have a few xtra pounds on me that i am working really hard to get rid of...so don't judge me. I'm a plus size woman and its something I have come to terms with. I'm a christian and I go to church. I love music of all sorts. I work for a radio station so it tends to run through my veins. My goal is to make sure that my third son turns out to be the great man that my other sons have turned out to be. I have to warn you that I love to dance, too. It's great exercise and it makes my heart smile. I'm a little stand offish at first, but you will like me once you get to know me. I'm usually the life of the party. I absolutely LOVE to laugh. I'm willing to take a chance if you are.Let me conclude by saying that there is nothing about me that is hateful or rude. I do believe that since I have a photo on here, it's only fair that you do too. I will not respond to those without photos and to anyone that is the same ages as my older sons...so please just stop right there and don't even try to go there.I have been a mom most of my life (started at ***so don't be scared of me if you have kiddos of your own. I'm not a "one night stander" type of gal. Don't crucify me for having my dad's old fashion ways. I enjoy a good drink and a good concert.     I need to be able to refill my depleted reserves. I enjoy any activity around the water. Even my favorite vacation is cruising. Just give me my Kindle, iPod, some sun and water and I am good to go. IT was my goal this summer to have a killer tan and i succeeded!!! I may not be great at fishing but I have no problem relaxing quietly while some one else enjoys the sport. If I knew how to dance I might enjoy music more, but I do like listening to live bands. I enjoy having someone to share my life and expose me to new things. I recently got custody of my 17 year old godson and am a parent for the first time in my life. He's showing me a more active lifestyle. No longer the quiet book worm I tried to be. Its been fun, but no teenager wants to hang around with a parent all the time, right? I would like to find a partner in life. Someone to share my experiences with, good and bad. I don't need someone to fix things or try to make it all better. I am way too independent to go for that. I want someone to bounce ideas off of and tell me when I could be making a better choice, but not force me into it.I like to try new and different things. I actually got my para-plane license when I was younger. I love to fly! The feeling of being up in the air with nothing coming at you... incredible. My favorite movie is Titanic, for the history of it all, not the romance. I have been a Titanic buff since a kid. I have books and artifacts that I treasure. Then again I like history period. My favorite memories as a kid involve traveling around the country seeing battlefields, museums, historic monuments.
