As with everyone on this site, there is so much more to me than meets the eye. If I had to describe myself, I would say that I am a fun-loving, active, real (genuine personally and physically), kind and classy woman who is looking for a man with similar qualities. Hope its true. =)Health and fitness are a huge part of my life! Although I am not a gym rat and prefer to be outside being active rather than inside the gym... I would love to meet a man who is active, and believes in healthy living who might want to go to the gym with me sometimes. Although I have nothings against drinking in moderation/socially, I do not drink often or much and don't need it to relax or have fun. I hope you have a similar attitude. The best thing in my life is my children. I have two boys who really bring it and I am very proud to call them mine. They are older and although we do things together, I do have time to make new friends and to date.Although I am not looking for a saint, and don't claim to be one myself, I am looking for a good man... I am looking for a relationship with a man who is single and a classy gentleman. I prefer a strong man of good character (meaning you TRY(not expecting perfection) to do the right thing even when no one is watching) someone who I can respect who is available emotionally, stable, smart, fun, and fit. It would be great if he is on the tall side,(or at least taller than me) as I am 5'6", slender and have been told I have a ballet dancer's but with curves body. ( I like to wear heels, too!I) I love great conversation with educated and interesting people who tend to run deep. I am not a superficial person but value what really matters in this life. This does not mean that I am all seriousness, as I love to be light hearted and to have fun too! I am a true believer in the healing power of laughter. I believe we are all here for a reason and that life is meant to be enjoyed. Look for the positive and find joy in the journey....Life is very much a journey not a destination....I want..........to thrive not just survive! And have FUN!As far as music goes, I love all different kinds. Listening to music and going out to hear bands, concerts, etc. is a wonderful thing and so is a night out dining, dancing, people watching, seeing a play as well as a night in watching movies, cooking a meal together or playing board games and cuddling by a fire... now whats not to like about that?Just so you know.... here comes the part where I spray my "Player, Faker and Flaker Be-Gone".....LOL ...I am easy to get along with and I am all about mutual respect, consideration, compassion, open and honest communication, earned trust, kindness and of course, playfulness(fun). Relationships should be two people who not only enjoy each others company but have fun together. A man can expect to be treated that way by me. I expect the same from him. If you don't, you will see my sassy side.... as well as my back side ; ) walking away from you pretty fast. It goes both ways.....I adore a man with some sass and class who respects himself and others and is only into playing fun games like Scrabble, etc... not head games. Here's a little about me. I'm a somewhat outgoing person who enjoys good conversation about a variety of topics. I can be serious at times, but I usually prefer to keep things light-hearted. I enjoy going to auctions and antique markets to look at old objects because I enjoy history. I guess I'm always in learning mode since I'm a teacher. I just returned from Guatemala on a volunteer vacation (took some Spanish classes too), and I'd love to do more foreign traveling with a partner. I'd also like a companion to take in some of the nearby sights. I consider myself independent and low maintenance and I feel most comfortable in a t-shirt and sandals, but I always dress for the occasion.-received. I can also make a decent beef stew, meat loaf or even a pizza on the grill. So someone who appreciates the effort of producing my epicurean delights, but can hold his own in the kitchen when I'm too tired to cook would be much appreciated.I should also include that I think while I can be soft-hearted, I can occasionally engage in a little schadenfreude with the right company. So no one usually mistakes me for a Pollyana. I've got way too much chutzpah, and my quick wit and sarcasm are often apparent. So a match who's like-minded is a huge bonus in that regard. As a general rule, I try very much to conduct myself with pride and class as these traits are important to me and my family. I was raised by a teacher, and as a teacher myself, I try to be a role model for my students. But it's really like a lifestyle...it's simply the way I live my life.Regarding my match: I'm looking for an intelligent and intellectually curious, confident and financially secure professional guy who is compatible with me in a large number of areas. Someone who will understand and appreciate my little bit of independence, but is there when I need him. But I don't think that makes me dull either. With regard to religion, I was raised Methodist for the most part (we attended an Episcopal church for a few years too). That being said, I'm open to a partner who enjoys an active role within their church as long as we can find a happy medium.I'm looking for someone who wants to be with me as a companion and friend. And yes, we'd need chemistry to keep it interesting. Since my pug owns me, I hope you like dogs!Regrettably, I never had children when I was married for a variety of reasons. So I am open to matches with children, but I do have strong ideas about how to raise kids. So hopefully, if you have kids and we click, then we also share similar child rearing values. I am 1 year away from having my bachalors degree in software engineering. I listen to country, rock and even rap. I love having friends and family over for get togethers at home. That is probably because I love to cook but not just for me and my son. I am a kind hearted person who knows how to handle my own life. I do not like being told what to do.
