About Me

I am a single mom of two wonderful children both in high school. I have them 50% of the time as this is the schedule that makes them happy, getting to see both parents equally. They mean the world to me. I am extremely social and love being around others, but am independent too:) I want to find someone who loves great quality time together, but who also has a sense of their own individual identity and does not rely solely on their companion to make them happy. Someone who is interested in hanging out, getting to know each other, enjoying each other's company and who would be content for the time being to be in a dating relationship. I ultimately do want to find that special someone to spend the rest of my life with. Until my kiddoes get out of high school, I see myself taking things a little slower.I am attracted to men:*** with a sense of humor! (This may be in part too because I am a Biology teacher! LOL! And I want you to know it takes a lot of GUTS for me to do this because it makes me a little nervous! )My Goals: To be the best mom I can be. I know, and my kids know, that I am not perfect. We talk a lot about how we communicate. We talk a lot about always being in a place of growth and bettering oneself. Good Communication is very important to me as this was a huge problem in my previous relationships. I want to be a great teacher until the very last day when I retire. At that point, I would LOVE to travel. I love to travel now. I do this as money allows. But I would love to have someone to share this with, seeing different parts of the US and the world.I mostly like all kinds of music - country, classical, pop, rock, jazz, blues, folk, Christian...not into hard metal stuff:)I love to read and LOVE movies. Going out is great but also staying in watching a good flick is great too. Have started doing yoga, like martial arts, and go to the Y- am working on being a healthier person. I attend a non-denominational church.I love Mexican Food, Outback Steakhouse, Slightly Under-Cooked Brownies, Coffee and Pepsi, the smell of Vanilla and a fresh rain, oh and OU Sooners football! I think that a nice first date would happen after talking a bit through texting and over the phone. Possibly getting together for coffee at Starbucks or dinner at a restaurant
