About Me

I love nature and beauty in any form - music, art, love, logic, and many, many others. I am happily busy with 4 kids, a great job, and many things I love to do. I like music, dancing, and talking to intelligent people. I tend to be a bit introverted and prefer quiet places over noisy ones. At the same time, I'm easy to get to know, very open and honest. I've been told I'm engaging and welcoming and have a great laugh.I've listed a lot of interests, some I have more knowledge and experience in than others. Astronomy, for example, I know very little about, but love to have someone share with me what they know. I have a great smile and give wonderful hugs. I am a bit geeky, notice I am a computer programmer by trade and it fits well. I am adventurous, I like to try new things and new places. I laugh when I'm nervous. I laugh when I'm happy. I laugh when I'm surprised and for all kinds of other reasons. In other words, I laugh a lot. But a rich laughter, not the high, giggly, annoying kind... Lol. I am intelligent and have a wide variety of interests.Spirituality and personal growth are an important part of my life. I'm very open-minded and like people of that mindset. Several people have asked me to define open-minded, so here's an explanation of what I mean. To me open-minded means I haven't already decided what I think about everything and I don't feel a need to cling to my opinions and defend them. I remain open to hearing new opinions, new information and allowing that to influence my thoughts on life or on a particular topic. I also think open-minded includes an acceptance that my way isn't the only way or necessarily the best way, a willingness to let myself and others be as they are. Of course I don't embody these values perfectly or all the time, but they are very important to me.Current goals - Being more present with my kids when they're with me, getting fit, spending more time with family, making new friends.Current books I'm reading - Daring Greatly by Brené Brown, Love Does by Bob GoffMy preferences in men - I tend to like intelligent, open-minded men. Age and race don't matter. I like men who are talkative and knowledgeable. I can be talkative sometimes, but not always, so I like a guy who can carry the conversation when I'm feeling quiet. I also love a guy who can stop talking and really appreciate something beautiful in nature.     I don't have a problem talking about myself but I always find these profiles difficult to get started. Well I guess I'll just start with what I like to do When I'm not working.
