I am a big believer that a person manifests the life they focus on creating. I am a dreamer, and a hard worker at the same time. Animals and the natural world have, and always will be a huge part of my life, so it's important to me that my significant other can appreciate animals and nature. I LOVE to snorkel, scuba dive, and go sailing. Camping, hiking, and picnics near a river or lake are high on my list also. Enjoying this world, compassion, passion, a sense of humor, emotional connection, physical attraction and communicating each day are key elements for me in a relationship. As I said, I've always been able to be a loner, and I still have an independent part of myself; but I so value the close-knit relationships I have in my life. Yes, I do need alone time, but that allows me to recharge, and be my best with the ones I love. I am seeking someone who can be there for me, as I am a very loyal person who stands by those who have her heart. I love to travel, go on ecotours and help other people. A vacation to just relax is great too, but giving back to others reverberates exponentially. My mother has always told me, "It's not so much that people change, but that they become more truly who they really are." The experience of authenticity, for me, is much more a process of uncovering, that discovering. Lofty words, right? But what does it really mean? My path is the process of figuring that out.I love to read. I love to follow my curiosity down twisting paths of research. I love to combine science, nature, literature and daily experiences into syncretic creations that I can share with clients and congregations. I love to public speak. I love to laugh and have a truly obnoxious appreciation of puns. I love my parents and enjoy long conversations with them both, on a weekly basis. I LOVE my kid! She is the most amazing person I have ever met and has taught me more about how to practice authenticity, in the past 8 years, than I could have imagined possible. I love being a mother and all the opportunities to become a better person that if presents. I love the intense aliveness that I experience when I am intimately connecting with people. I love to listen to people's stories about what is real for them, what makes them come alive, regardless of what that is. Enthusiasm is a huge turn on for me. I have been losing my hearing since I was 5 years old and am now almost completely deaf. I have phenomenal speech-reading skills, and most people would never know how hearing impaired I am. My hearing loss leads to some of my most contradicting realities. I love music, but can't understand lyrics. This may be why most of my favorite music is either world or ***, although I am an avid fan of classic rock. Oh, and the blues - that's a wabi-sabi thing, for sure. I love to listen to people, but often I hear more of what is not being said and that can offend some people. A lot of people hide behind their words, not realizing how much their body language is giving away. Because of the energy it takes, I am not a fan of small talk. I'd rather sit in silence with someone than exchange banalities. I value face-to-face communication above all else, but have a kid-on-Christmas-morning love for technology, too. Texting and FaceTime rock! Good God, I have no idea how to answer this. So much would depend on you! I love to learn and experience new things, and since enthusiasm is such a turn on for me, I can imagine that sharing something you wildly enjoy would work. I can imagine that meeting for coffee or frozen yogurt, over a game of Scrabble or Clue, could be fun. I love taking long drives and motorcycle rides. I really enjoy DIY projects and power tools. I enjoy boating and being on or near the water. I love hiking and discovering new places. I also enjoy cooking (and eating), as well as watching others cook.
