I've made some great friends, and I do value that, but the conclusion I've come to is that many people come to places like this as a last resort because they don't seem to have any luck in an in-person setting, and if that's your case, I'm probably not for you. I really need confidence in a person to match mine, and don't seem to be able to handle the self-unaware. I do really well on my own and meet a lot of new people all the time.
