I'm looking for someone who is genuinely looking for a relationship. Someone who is willing to get to know me and make an effort with me as I would do the same for you. I can be pretty quiet when you first meet me, so hopefully you can bare with me until I feel comfortable with you and am able to talk more. Believe me, once you get to know me I am much more open and have quite a sense of humor, in fact sarcasm is like a second language for me.Some things I like and/or enjoy include: music, live concerts, reading, cooking or baking, watching football, baseball or hockey, movies, travel, photography, tattoos, art...and much more.I like to believe I'm not like the typical girl. I will gladly yell at the tv during a football game, but I can also cry during a chick flick. I don't like to get dressed up, but I certainly can when I need too. I'm no tomboy, I just prefer my jeans over skirts and dresses. I'm always up for going to new and different places, anything from a cool bar to an old bookstore where I can spend hours looking for something unique. I love to take pictures of everything and anything. I don't think you need a fancy camera to call yourself a photographer, if you can see the beauty in the moment you are capturing then it doesn't matter what you are taking the picture with...even a camera phone. I have two tattoos (dreaming of more) and a lip piercing. I love tattoos and the stories they tell. As for piercings, I like to keep it simple, what I have is all I'm gonna get.I love music and going to live shows, mostly at small venues now. Most recently I saw The Gaslight Anthem at Lupos in RI (awesome show!). I love all kinds of music, country, rock, pop, alternative, etc. A good song is a good song no matter what genre it is from. I'm always looking up lyrics. I sing along to music all the time. I'm that girl driving down the road singing in the car.I work in the journalism field. Yes, I'm aware that's crazy since everything is online now, but I enjoy what I do. I've been a newspaper reporter since college but last year I moved over to the production end of things as a copy editor/page designer. I like writing but I have bigger goals for myself professionally and needed to explore more opportunities.     Where's the fun in just telling you everything about myself without knowing anything about you? Besides, I think one can tell a lot about a person from what they're looking for, so I'm just going to tell you that:) Health and fitness have always been huge in my life, so being able to share those with someone is very important to me. Although I'd like for the guy in my life to have the same love for lifting that I do, I think the important thing is to simply value an active lifestyle. I believe every first date should be original, fresh, and exciting. Since this mindset precludes any generic "first date prescription", I hesitate to concoct a detailed plan of what "should" happen. I prefer to take a raw idea or whim and see where it leads. We could snowboard from first thing in the morning until ski patrol shoos us off the mountain at 9:15 pm. On a night when the entire town is snowed in, we could go sledding on giant plow- You could teach me, a former Nintendo junkie, how to play these "modern" video games the kids are all into nowadays:) We could follow up an evening of shooting and racing with a Will Ferrell movie and pizza. We could go on a hike without a map, climbing trees &I wouldn't be averse to the idea of a "traditional" first date either, I suppose :P As long as the person I'm with has a positive attitude and a love of good conversation, anything can be a fun adventure.
