Let's see............... I guess I should start with what I DON'T want!! Please no smokers. Also, I won't get on your motorcycle with you, so if you want a riding partner, then I'm not the one for you. And last thing (yay!) I like to have a few drinks, but don't want to be with someone that's a very heavy drinker. Ok..... enough about what I don't want! I was divorced about 8 years ago and my ex died suddenly soon after that, so I needed to be focused on raising my children. Now my kids are "grown" and starting to live their own lives, so I'm hoping to start a new chapter in mine! I try to go for a walk or do yoga most days. I enjoy going to see movies (anything except scary), reading, playing board games, and going for a drink on the water or to hear a band. I'm happy staying in and watching some TV, but it is also fun to go hang out with friends sometimes too. Maybe for a game of pool/darts, bowling, or just have some food, drinks and conversation! I like hockey(Bruins) and football (go Patriots! )...... to watch, not play! I really,really love to get a nice meal (I love to try new foods!), a glass or two of wine, and talk. So it's very important that you and I have a lot to say to each other. I want to find that "connection" that only comes from part chemistry, and part honest conversation. Most importantly..... I want someone that is self-confident and realizes that if I am busy with work or the kids, and can not go out during the week, that it is NOT a reflection of my feelings for you- I am simply busy; someone that is assertive, but not controlling, has his own friends and interests (PLEASE have a life outside of me! It makes for a happier relationship!); doesn't mind when I wear sweats and no makeup (don't worry- this isn't a daily occurrence); someone that doesn't take himself too seriously and likes to laugh! I feel like everyone says they love to be out in the sun. I actually don't hang out at the beach during the day. Not a fan of skin cancer. I love to go to the beach at dusk or after dinner, but no baking for me! Sorry........If you are interested in meeting for a drink or dinner, please send me a note. There are lots of wonderful things to see and do out there in the big world but it would sure be more enjoyable to have someone special to share the experiences with. I am a pretty easy-going person ... and looking for that certain someone for that certain 'click'. Enjoy cycling, swimming, walking.- usually up in the Okanagan. (Golf not on the list yet...but definitely on the 'learn-to-do' list!) Played soccer for years but reluctantly had to hang up the boots awhile ago. Love to be doing anything outdoors... and pretty much always game to try new adventures. I work Mon-Fri in healthcare and fortunately get a fair bit of vacation, so have been able to get away on some great trips the past while. Dinner parties, beers at the pub, romantic dinners, playing or watching (live) sports, exploring other countries, weekend jaunts, sippin' wine in the Okanagan, or doing whatever - it's what you make of it and the people you choose to spend time with. Love the sun and the snow. Basically, just looking for someone who enjoys the same. Friends and family are huge - hopefully with you too. Like to be with someone that has initiative to make plans and wants to try and do different things. Honesty, humour, and simply being a good person are pretty much the key factors in what's important to me. I click on profiles with photos ....and smiling photos are even better!
