Kinda new to Calgary, just moved back here from B.CNot opposed to it but not currently looking for anything serious, mainly out to meet some new people. :pUsually an outdoors guy always 4x4ing, mudding, camping, at the beach or on the lake buut somewhat limited to my surroundings now so it'll be work, snowboarding, movies and video games by the looks of it this winter. Feel free to shoot me a message. This needs to be said no matter what your body shape or type is you need to have a clear picture of it or there's no point in talking, judge me how you want to but would you talk to me without a good face or body pic ? It's about honesty people. Also no endless conversations on here, yes I understand it's the internet you never know who your gonna meet but that's what public places are for we don't have to swap cells to meet up if that puts you at ease a little but I'd much rather meet up an see how we click rather than babble over messages with no real emotion or expression to them, technology while aiding us to progress in life is also swallowing our emotions and personality with every *** message that we write. I may seem complicated but I'm really easy going I just don't like the masks people wear to hide their insecurities learn to confront your fears and insecurities and deal with them rather than try to hide them from people, just makes life easier for everyone. We could grab a coffee and take a walk , a couple drinks at a pub maybe play some pool, go play some games at an arcade somewhere that's good to unwind at and easy to talk.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Nice that you could drop by. I suppose the idea is to get a better idea of who I am: here goes. Who I am is how I look at life. I've been described as the guy caught in the middle of a rain storm with no umbrella, a huge grin on my face, singing into the storm. I've got a pretty good life, and it's nice to take a step back every now and then and realize that very few things matter as much as we think they do.I'm currently finishing off my PhD in robotics, which is a lot of work, but is really fun. I get to build robots and then play with them all day, and get paid for it; how cool is that? Plus, I get to teach, which is a passion of mine. Downside, the math get's a little intense. I was cool when it was just numbers. Then they added letters, alright, I can deal with that. Then they took away the numbers, and kept the letters, fine. Now the letters are gone, the numbers are gone, even the familiar symbols like '=' '+' and 'x' are gone, yet they still call it math. Whatever happened to taking home 32 watermelons from the store (because you gave Mary 8), and we all just pretend that there's nothing strange about that.Apart from school, I like to keep active. I ride my bike a lot in the summer, love going for walks and hikes, go to the gym when nature is having a tantrum, toss a frisbee in a field, or just run around with some friends goofing off. On the non-hyper side, I love to cook, play my piano, take on random projects, have a night of board games with friends, listen to audio books, watch documentaries, and often just kick back for the evening with a good movie and good company. For transportation, if I'm not biking or rollerblading, I prefer my own two feet. If I have the time, I would rather walk to a location as opposed to almost any other form of transportation (personal aircraft notwithstanding). I also really enjoy playing tennis, ultimate frisbee and a good debate about something pointless; most recently, which dictator had the best mustache? (The answer is obvious really)A few random facts about me:- I love the cold- I've broken 6 bones (at least. To be honest, I've really lost count)- I once fell of a ski lift (not one of the broken bones***I want to get my pilot's license one day- In my undergrad, I built a submarine, a blimp and a fuel-cell monitoring system, and two of those three things actually worked.- There is almost no type of weather that I don't like- I never turn down sushi, except for in extreme cases- The longest I've been without food is ***hours, which included my 27th birthday- Best live show I've been to is a tie between "Who's line is it anyway" and "Tim Minchin"So what am I looking for? It seems pointless to spout the usual "cute, funny, ambitious, smart, etc.", everyone is looking for that. Most important to me, I'm looking for someone who loves who they are, that's really important to me. Also a generally positive outlook on life is also pretty important; the world, frankly, is awesome. So someone who's always got a smile on her face; someone who loves life, and lives it in a positive way, and who thirsts for adventure. I'm also looking for a girl with a bit of a cheesy romantic side who can let her hair down from time to time to dance barefoot in the rain with.As for looks, I don't claim that they aren't important, far to the contrary. I just can't quite figure out how to describe what I'm looking for. Who someone is, and how they act really does play a big part in someone's overall attractiveness. Something that simply boils down as "Fun!" Perhaps getting thrown out of the ball pit at IKEA... Whatever's fun, I'm game.
