I'm a soon to be divorced single mom. I like to jog, hike, kayak, paint, and bake. I'm interested in learning to swing dance or do any kind of formal dancing. I am an avid reader; my favorite book is either Great Expectations or Ender's Game. I'm currently working two jobs and am in the process of writing the first draft of a novel. My real dream is to write for a living but in the mean time I am a Professor and on weekends a retail sales associate. I spent 4.5 years in the United Stated Army as a paralegal. I like good food and good wine/liquor but I'm a bit of a light weight. I love watching sports in person or on TV. I'm a huge Yankee fan and would love to meet someone who loves baseball too. I am an early bird so it'd be nice if you were too. I would like to meet someone who likes to read, is educated, loves watching HBO on Sunday nights and who would like to go out about once a week. A glass of wine or a gin and tonic at a low traffic place so we can talk.

Looking for: man. In age: 28-38
So I've been on here for a little bit, met some nice people and some not so nice. I think i was naive at first to this whole experience and now just taking it as it. We're all human and desire things, my desires may just be different than others. I was in long relationship and now I'm not. I needed to grow and become a better person and find someone who held passion in their life....and so be it, the rest is history. Looking for someone fun, stable, passionate and intelligent. Someone who can challenge me but also laugh at me when i do something silly. I don't think that's much to ask. Every experience is a good and beneficial experience so I'm just here for the ride. I'm sarcastic, extremely clumsy, witty, well spoken and a bit nutty. I love farmers markets, local artisans and things with history.... surprise me. PLEASE PLEASE do not contact me if you want to "lock lips for a lifetime"....or you're "separated" and unhappy in your marriage and want a sugar baby.. I have morals..sorry to be harsh...but you'd find some of the *** receive, comical and offensive. I do not want to have to talk nasty to anyone so let's just save us all the trouble.I recently graduated from school with a Masters Degree in Education/Secondary English. Working in a tech high school. I currently am a building substitute and a Special Education tutor there. I love the kids and the exciting interaction everyday. I enjoy gardening, playing with the puppy, day trips and my friends . I recently started running and just ran my first 5k! Can't wait to add more to the list and keep the momentum going. I'm working out ***days a week, eating great, losing weight and feeling stronger. Also, recently just became a certified MAC PRO makeup artist and this is definitely a passion of mine as well. I love to make women feel beautiful and have had the pleasure of being able to do so.(guys...MAC is a makeup company... I'm not an IT person :))Ok, so...I'm really good at Cooking! Seriously. People may say that and not mean it and I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I can throw down a mean meal. I've won a few local BBQ competitions between friends and even got a few call backs for reality cooking shows. A great dream would be able to own a food truck...down in DC... I love DC...Simple interests are:ok..books: Great Gatsby and Night by Elie Weasel Movies: Not really into going to theaters, although I should change that. I'd much rather them come out on RedBox. With that said,: Neverending Story is my ULTIMATE fave movie. Also Goodfellas isn't so bad either. Shows: anything on Showtime. Shameless is awesome. Music: I really do go all over with music. My favorite standby is always singer/songwriters. acoustic. Something I can get lost in. Thrift Shop aside... The Heist...is incredible... Food: DO NOT GET ME STARTED! there is TOO TOO MUCH! like I said...total Foodie.... I mean...don't get me wrong.. I can eat it once in awhile...but expand your horizons! food is exciting!Travel: you may be more versed in worldwide travels than I am, but don't knock a day trip. Anything can be an adventure. I'd just like a friend to do it with First date would involve a hole in the wall restaurant/gastro pub/dive that completely impresses me. Maybe a local craft beer on the side and some good conversationor anything that is a bit different.I love to fish, I love wineries,I love gardening,I love animals,I Love Uconn basketball (stop it!)I love live music...I'm pretty low maintenance.WARNING: *** individuals using this site or any of its associated sites for studies, projects, advertising, sales, or any other reason-you DO NOT have permission to use any of my profile or pictures in any form or forum both current and future.
