My idea of a first date would be any chance where I could get to now the individual better-regardless if it were to be at a restaurant, walk in the park, or at a movie. The chance to talk and communicate and learn more about the person is what counts in my books. However, if I had to choose, I would go with dinner (doesn't need to be extravagant) but allows some privacy where the couple can talk about anything-get a chance to learn about their significant others interests, goals, and life.
