About Me

I am looking for a man that I can respect and admire. This time around, the man that will win my heart will be honest, intellegent, responsible, respectful, humorous, playful and maybe even a little adventurous! I have a very sarcastic wit so this man has to be able to handle that. I am looking for a partner.

I'm a mother of three kids, they keep me pretty busy all are involved in sports. I am a high school teacher which has its challenges but I really enjoy what I do. I like hanging out with good friends, laughing, a sense of humor is very important, I tend to be a little sarcastic. I enjoy most kinds of music. I was married a very long time, so this dating stuff is new to me, let's see what happens.

I have pretty much come to the conclusion that this thing they call "DATING" is for sans kids singles or non-custodial parents. Well, I guess it depends on your situation and whether or not you separate your adult life from your child's life. I am one of those mommies who is not wanting to be in that "This is your uncle this week!" category. If you happen to be a single dad who doesn't welcome your children into the revolving door of your love life then CONGRATULATIONS for putting your kids first and being the rare exception to the rule. Nothing wrong with introducing your kids to a significant other when the time is right or the situation is appropriate. But "Hey kids, this is Bambi and she is spending the weekend with us" just seems a bit tacky to me. But there are a few overnight visitations with either grandma or dad. And mommy does get a bit of me time now that she is in preschool for 4 afternoons a week. So I guess I could start scheduling lunch dates or mid-afternoon coffee house dates M-Th say sometime between 12:***pm. I am trying to get used to having this me time, but find that 3 hours goes by in a ***, that is my big disclaimer as it seems nearly impossible for me to be available to date at the drop of a hat. It takes some planning in advance to make sure it jibes with the visitation schedule or I can find a sitter. But for right now I think it is better to put myself in that boring, just looking for friends for now category. I am just being honest and not going to blow any smoke up anyone's butt. I am really pretty set in my ways and know what I like and don't like. I like going out to try new hobbies, experiencing new cuisine or checking out a band I've never heard before. I don't mind the bar scene now and again to do karaoke or listen to live music. I would even like to do one of those trivia nights. But I rarely drink these days due to finding I get a tad more tipsy than I would like. I like walks in the park, bowling, going to the movies, shooting pool and visiting art museums. Aside from playing in the park with my kid, dancing, the occasional aquacize class and tennis just for fun I rarely get my heart rate elevated for optimal fitness. Just not much of an exercise enthusiast, but know I should force myself to do more physical activity. I am a couch potato most evenings, and should just say In a Relationship with HBO as my *** Yes, I admit I am a bit of social media whore. But wean off what I call the facecrastination. So if all that brutal honesty hasn't bored the crap out of you, then please do hit me up for the initial e-mail conversation and "Let's Do Coffee" sorta deal. Late morning or early afternoon to meet up at a cafe or pub. Then we can do something fun and even active like a stroll thru a park or perhaps bowling. Tennis? I can't play very well, but like just the back and forth over the net. I love going to the movies, but that isn't the best for a first date as you can't really talk. Art museum would be a great first date as well.
