So, if you are an alcoholic (or if anyone else has ever told you that you have a issue) it would need to be a very special case for this to work - would only consider someone who was well-into recovery, a sponsor, done your work around it... With this said, I am a social drinker and good with being in relationship with someone else who is as well.
