Given that several introductory profile questions relate to sexual exploits / relationship skills and behaviors with only give basic yes / no answer possibilities rather than making the questions open ended, I have to start with the fact that I do not truthfully have an answer to some of them; I am still a virgin and do not have a lot of dating experience. I can honestly say, however, that I am an enjoyable person to be around, and the more that I can learn about the people that I spend time with, the more I am able to tailor the variable facets of my interests as well as to synch my social mannerisms to get along well with almost anyone. I still maintain chivalrous characteristics from my upbringing and can honestly say that my first priority on a date is to make sure that I provide the person that I am with with a positive and enjoyable experience, and am myself simply trying to meet someone who I can enjoy spending time with, and who has a personality type that molds as effortlessly as possible with mine to create a relationship that functions on a deeper level than the superficial, transparent, or in some cases even nonexistent emotional connection commonly considered "good enough" for use as the basis of a relationship. I am hoping to have a chance at least to try to get the opportunity to meet someone who also can respect this approach to beginning a new relationship with someone, even if it is somewhat less common than it used to be, because I like to think that it is a more honest and solid mental and emotional foundation that ultimately leads to the greater and ultimately more successful long term relationship. This is what my ultimate goal is when I consider the point of dating in the first place: the chance of finding a respected equal with whom I can potentially share my life with, not the person who is willing to waste their efforts time and again with an ever changing string of people they may know nothing about for the opportunity to temporarily experience the companionship of another not for a lifetime, but for one night. I seek the potential for a true emotional and intellectual companion for myself when I date, not the temporary physical companionship that has become the driving force in the minds of too many people in the dating scene. I am looking for someone who still believes that the endgame of the dating world is ultimately to leave the dating world, and to come away from it with another with whom you feel a mutual bond strong enough to rely on and to be happy enough with to know that companionship will no longer be something that must be sought out, but something that has been found and will no longer diminish but will become an endless source of strength for you and your partner.
