Well, here it goes...writing the dreaded profile.I have an outgoing personality, a great sense of humor (love to make people laugh), consider myself down to earth, and am happy with who I am. I'm an open book, and honest to a fault sometimes. It's just so much easier to be yourself, isn't it?My career continues to go well, and I like my job for the most part. I never saw myself as an executive, but it's funny how things work out, especially in the corporate world. I'll never get used to wearing ties to work every day, it just seems old fashioned...and not in the good way.I'm average looking, and wish I had more of a talent for taking bathroom pics in the mirror. Who knew that would be a life skill for online dating? Anyway, I can clean up pretty well. I'm intelligent and genuine, which are also qualities you must possess too. I can't see a relationship with someone that I can't converse with on a similar level, or someone that isn't willing to be themselves around me.I can be goofy at times, something of a geek, a good conversationalist, and independent. Overall I think I'm well rounded.I'm also a 10 year cancer survivor, which has given me quite a unique outlook toward my life. Funny how that works out. There are a lot of good stories around that too. There is still plenty of room in my life for someone special, and that's what I'm trying to find here. When the timing is right, that special woman will appear and all of the pieces will fall into place. At least that's the plan. Too much to ask for, maybe?I'm hoping to find someone that I enjoy being around for hours and hours, that can make the time seem to fly by. I've only found that a few times in my life, and now I'm not going to settle. I am divorced and have two younger children. My kids are the highest priority of my life, and I wouldn't be happy any other way. Being a great father is extremely important to me. I try to spend any time with them that I can.My only regret from my divorce is not being with my kids every day. They are at great ages now where we get to do the fun things we will all remember forever. I am their father first, and anyone I date has to be good with that. I hope you see that as the attractive and positive trait that I know it is.If you've read this far and have smiled at all, you should say hello, and let's see if there is a spark. I'd like to go out for drinks, lunch or dinner. Something casual that lends itself to having time to really talk face to face. My favorite places are the smaller restaurants that are often family owned. Chain restaurants are ok, but not my first choice.I think the small out of the way places that have the best personality, and can be very conducive to a great conversation. Thai, Japanese, or Mexican are some of my favorites. I'm really open for anything though, except for fish. Sorry, no sushi for me.After a meal, it's nice to get a chance to go for a walk. The important thing is getting some quality time to get acquainted.
