About Me

I see meetville has a new "Meet me" feature. If you really want to meet me, don't you think you should send me a message *** says this spot is to include my "likes/dislikes, aspirations, the type of person you'd like to meet etc." Well that's pretty open.. "etc" could be almost anything! I have two cats but would like a dog eventually. I work for a non-profit and absolutely love it: even a bigger paycheck could not compete with the satisfaction of contributing to the amazing work we do. To stay in shape, I bike to work (and everywhere I can!), do yoga and go to the gym. I used to bike home through the Don Valley trails, and it really was a great way to end the day. One of my favourite activities is my book club. We've been meeting for 10 years now, and they are among my closest friends. I read anyway, so it's wonderful to combine that with socializing and the amazing book discussion. Our next book is The Dinner, and it was a compelling read. So I think that covered a lot of the "etc" part. I don't really have a type, but one of the things I've noticed I'm attracted to is intelligence and the ability to debate with me--I love opinions, but opinions that can be backed by discussion is much better. I love a sense of humour--if you can't laugh at the world it will get you down. And caring about the world and the people around you are a definite bonus--there are lots of people out there who are only out for themselves, but I don't want to hang out with them. What I'm looking for? Something long-term, since I've passed the point where flings are something I want to spend energy on. If that's what you're looking for too, I look forward to chatting with *** lot of people message me with a compliment. Compliments are nice, but they don't start a conversation. Read my profile, ask me a question about my interests, maybe tell me what we have in common--that's how you get a conversation going. Meeting at Starbucks for coffee and roaming around Indigo is a great way to meet for the first time. I also do enjoy the standard dinner-and-a-movie, but maybe for a second date. Walking up Yonge?) or a bike ride--or skating/tobogganing, in the winter.

Woman. 33 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.

Looking for: man. In age: 30-40

These days I spend most of my time working. I'd love to change that :) I'm a single mom to a great little girl, so you must like kids. There are a lot of things I like to do, some I haven't even discovered yet. So a little about me: I drive an F***I'm not afraid to get dirty-- I also like to do a bit of gardening. I like crafty projects and I enjoy scrapbooking. I love going to the beach/water of any kind...I'm not necessarily good at either, but it's fun anyway. I have a tattoo. My family is important to me, a bit dysfunctional, but still important. My friends are also very important to me and I am the type of friend that will help those in need but also tell it straight up when they screw up. I'm a talker (for the most part) but also a good listener.I like spending time outside--camping, beach, walks, etc. I also enjoy movies, cooking and games. My favorite kind of music is country, but I enjoy rock, alternative and many other genres as well. I'm not high maintenance--jeans and ponytail most of the time, but I like getting dressed up as well. I tend to be motivated and sometimes opinionated. I often say what is on my mind, but try not to offend people. I'm a fairly good communicator.I'm not looking for a perfect person. I'm looking for someone who is honest, caring, funny, and sincere. I'm not looking for an ***'s see if there is chemistry, become friends and see what happens. If you' like to know more, send me a message.

I am a very honest, simple, open minded and easy going person. I love sports, big trucks, movies, music, talking, taking pictures, going to the beach, reading, and trying new exciting things! I am looking for my partner in crime... Someone to hang out with, try new things, laugh with, and someday possibly, become my best friend... I love to travel, and experience different cultures. There is so many more places I would love to see, it would be nice to find someone to travel with me. I love to have fun! I like to think of everything as a life experience. There aren’t many things that I don't like. There are so many things that I want to learn to do, maybe you could teach me something new? I do know that someday I would love to learn to paddle board!! I like to have fun! Hopefully I meet someone who is interested in some of the same things, and who appreciates that life can get busy at times, but wants to make the most of the time we can spend together. I am looking to date for now and I hope that eventually, I will find a great guy, who I can get to know and possibly have a long term relationship with... Everything happens for a reason, but you'll never know, unless you try! I am up for doing just about anything, as long as we can talk and get to know each other. Out for a drink, to dinner, for a walk on the beach, ice skating, or maybe mini golf...

So this is where I get to pitch myself as the most wonderful person on the face of the planet right? Yuck! I am not the nicest, smartest, or cutest person either of us have ever met. I'm a wee bit sarcastic, pretty laid back, and funny once in a while (but I've been told... less often then I think) I know a little bit about a lot and a lot of nothing. I think I'm pretty awesome... and that is pretty important to me. I work as a CSR/Social Media Specialist & have been employed at the same small company for over five years. I work helping people through life struggles and enjoy it. I doubt I'll ever get a job that doesn't directly help people. My goals are to become smarter, wiser and a little better every day.... somedays I meet my goals! I look for the silver lining always... cause’ life throws mud at everyone without prejudice. I watch movies and play boardgames... I used to game (Xbox) a lot but haven't for a while.. I almost always have music playing. I listen to everything except rap... I am a talker, that means that I like to conversate.... as in I say something then someone else takes a turn (well... if they can get a word in edgewise) I read books... mostly happy go lucky books with predicable endings. I hate books or movie where everyone is dead... Well unless it is Game of Thrones or something of the kind. I do read fantasy books too, dragons, elves, and all that. I enjoy cooking, hosting get togethers, and though I come off sometimes as being a homebody, I really enjoy discovering new and interesting places in my local area. I often feel as if I am riding the fence between Sci-fi/Fantasy chick and yuppie! I'm the mom to three out-going, zombie loving, "Queen" singing, brownie baking, awesome kids that are 11, 13, & 15 years old... So don't freak-out. My ex (of more than seven years) and I are on good terms & wonderfully drama free. What am I looking for: I hate to admit I have a type.... tall, chubby/heavyset, and a smile to die for. I don't know if a quiet/shy guy would stand a chance with my fun loving (and often over the top) family & friends. Being a talker is a huge plus... one sided conversations aren't really much fun! What job you have doesn't matter... with that said, I have high work ethics and greatly respect others with that same trait. Being Christian is really my only MUST, bonus points for being Catholic! If you'd like to start a conversation with me but are maybe a little nervous.... (not that a big strapping fellow like yourself would ever worry about talking to a complete stranger.) Just try saying "hi" and asking me a question... ( just please don't go all perv-errific on me) I’ve listed some movies and songs… look see if there are any you like too! I'm sure this will get edited once my friends tell me it's all wrong... so memorize it while you can!!!!Some of the movies I like: Guys &-..“”Bee Gees, “Stayin' Alive”; Mary, “Puff the Magic Dragon”Patsy Cline, “Walkin' After Midnight”“Crash My Party” The Eagles, ";Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs, “”Elvis Presley - In the Ghetto”“Knock Three Times”“Hey Pretty Girl”Survivor, “Eye of the Tiger”Wicked - the soundtrackChris Young, “The Man I Want To Be”The Searchers, “Love potion number 9”“She's like the wind”“ Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys”Trisha Yearwood, “ She's In Love With The Boy”Guys & Dolls - the soundtrackJohnny Cash, “Ring of Fire”Queen, "Bohemian Rhapsody" Coffee house... I did say I like to talk, right? Bowling... Visit a tourist spot.... Mini golf? I don't know...what sounds like fun to you?
