About Me

So this is where I get to pitch myself as the most wonderful person on the face of the planet right? Yuck! I am not the nicest, smartest, or cutest person either of us have ever met. I'm a wee bit sarcastic, pretty laid back, and funny once in a while (but I've been told... less often then I think) I know a little bit about a lot and a lot of nothing. I think I'm pretty awesome... and that is pretty important to me. I work as a CSR/Social Media Specialist & have been employed at the same small company for over five years. I work helping people through life struggles and enjoy it. I doubt I'll ever get a job that doesn't directly help people. My goals are to become smarter, wiser and a little better every day.... somedays I meet my goals! I look for the silver lining always... cause’ life throws mud at everyone without prejudice. I watch movies and play boardgames... I used to game (Xbox) a lot but haven't for a while.. I almost always have music playing. I listen to everything except rap... I am a talker, that means that I like to conversate.... as in I say something then someone else takes a turn (well... if they can get a word in edgewise) I read books... mostly happy go lucky books with predicable endings. I hate books or movie where everyone is dead... Well unless it is Game of Thrones or something of the kind. I do read fantasy books too, dragons, elves, and all that. I enjoy cooking, hosting get togethers, and though I come off sometimes as being a homebody, I really enjoy discovering new and interesting places in my local area. I often feel as if I am riding the fence between Sci-fi/Fantasy chick and yuppie! I'm the mom to three out-going, zombie loving, "Queen" singing, brownie baking, awesome kids that are 11, 13, & 15 years old... So don't freak-out. My ex (of more than seven years) and I are on good terms & wonderfully drama free.What am I looking for: I hate to admit I have a type.... tall, chubby/heavyset, and a smile to die for. I don't know if a quiet/shy guy would stand a chance with my fun loving (and often over the top) family & friends. Being a talker is a huge plus... one sided conversations aren't really much fun! What job you have doesn't matter... with that said, I have high work ethics and greatly respect others with that same trait. Being Christian is really my only MUST, bonus points for being Catholic!If you'd like to start a conversation with me but are maybe a little nervous.... (not that a big strapping fellow like yourself would ever worry about talking to a complete stranger.) Just try saying "hi" and asking me a question...     I have a master's degree in broadfield social science. I love to read, dance, play poker, travel, and eat.-fiction book about a serial murderer at the ***World's Fair. Flyboys is another great non-fiction book and is about WWII. I also love fun books like the Shopaholic series. Sometimes it's nice not to think too much.Despite my slender size, I love to eat. Wings, seafood, steak, and pasta are several of my favorite foods.Traveling is also an important part of my life.; There's just so much to do there, and it is so beautiful. I have recently realized that I am looking for qualities in a man that are becoming more and more rare and even harder to describe. I hope to find someone with balance, logic, and foresight as I am realizing that those qualities can really make for a healthy relationship. Of course, I want the obvious things too like kindness, understanding, compassion, but I've come to realize over the last few years that I have met some sweet guys who have an abundance of those qualities, but their thinking was so off that it created friction in our relationships, and I'd prefer something a little more serene. I also have a wide variety of interests and hope to find someone to share many of my interests but to introduce me to new ones as well.

    I love photography and going to nature preserves and Gardens. I take care to buy natural foods when I can afford it. And besides smoking I do my best to take care of my health. I'm not perfect by any means. I have an 8yr daughter. ! So you MUST like kids. Also you HAVE to like cats. I won't give up my kitties for anythingJust to sort of clear the air, I'll be honest with y'all, I have degerative joint disease in my lower spine, it doesn't stop me, but it does limit my activities. I can't bowl, hike, rock climb, dancing would put me in serious pain, pretty much anything that puts strain on the legs or spine (nerves branch out from the lower spine into your legs) Most days it's painful just to walk. So Im unable to work.A lot of guys just stop talking when they find out. So, I saved those type of guys that are looking for someone perfect some trouble. All of you out there who aren't so shallow, I'd like to hear from you. Even if we don't hit it off for dating, a person can never have too many friends. Talk to you soon! Nothing expensive.
