Looking for: man. In age: 47-57

I have been waiting all my life to do exactly what I am doing. My kids are grown.I am free to decide where I go and what I will do. Life is too short to wait. We only have today.I LOVE writing, cooking, foodie things(I am a food critic at Yelp)..my cat Chai, a Persian who thinks he's a dog and my grown children.Life is what you make it. Make it a good one!Noteworthy: I am not looking for someone who just wants to "date."I've been there and done that. I was married for 20 years. Loyal trustworthy, honest and have integrity. I am not looking for a player. That being said, you have to try on people and see how well they fit That means making friends, dating and seeing what develops. So, let's make a deal that if you contact me, you will have a sense of humor and an open mind. I am a person of faith.. It would be great of you share that same faith a sit is the center of my life and keeps me grounded. I am not looking for someone to hang out with. I have plenty friends. I am seriously looking for someone to spend time with on a regular basis. I realize the perfect person is not uncomplicated or without responsibilities. It is how we choose to deal with those issues that is part of the getting to know someone. I have my reservations about meeting anyone on meetville. But, I have to believe that I will make a friend or two in the process of keeping an open mind. So, why not take a chance and see what happens? You never know until you try..But after a month f being on here, I suspect it is HIGHLY unlikely I will meet that special someone here.I love cooking and am a foodie. I have a Culinary Art background and even do food writing in my work as a writer. I am just enjoying the time I have getting to know people and the area This is an amazing place. A drink,(Coffee, tea, wine...) a walk around the downtown. Please, bring your sense of humor.

Remember Superman?Faster than a speeding bullet.More powerful than a locomotive.Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. The one super power he possessed that impressed me the most was the ability to change clothes in a phone booth. Have any of you guys tried to put on a pair of tights in a phone booth? Shoot, I need at least a 10'-10' area to accomplish that feat. I wonder where he changes clothes today. Although if the iphone gets any larger Apple will have to re-introduce the booth. If Superman had a profile on meetville how would he represent himself? The guy with morning breath, pet hair on the furniture, a bathtub ring and occasional science project in the fridge? The guy who gets upset when his favorite team loses or his best friend betrays him?Or would he be the larger than life, unavailable, and secretive Super Hero? The guy who's life is perfect and shiny like a new silver dollar? He's always in control, never feels angry. His dog never pukes on the carpet, he never loses his keys, has never had a bad haircut or overdrawn his bank account. His life is a well oiled machine; smooth and efficient. He was down to earth and approachable and in the end he was the man who won her heart.Prolonged contact with Kryptonite is the one thing that makes Superman weak. What is your kryptonite? What do you have crawling around inside your clothes that keeps you from being the best that you could be? Lust? Dishonesty? Pride? Desperation? Greed? Opportunistic behavior? One of mine is the inability to distinguish fools gold from the real thing.ABOUT ME:There are some who look down their noses at my type of work. I put in 12 hr days 4 days a week caring for a blind Alzheimer patient. It's difficult physically and emotionally, and the pay is low. It is a job most could not or would not be capable of doing. While most are sitting at their desk staring at their computer screens, I am on my feet: caring. When others are ready to stand and play, I am ready to sit and breath. I spend my first day off recouping. This usually involves sitting, working on a project, or strolling around the yard enjoying the fresh air. Then there are errands to run, bills to pay and things to clean. That leaves me a day to enjoy. As much as I love to help, I am unable to take on someone else's responsibilities at this time. So I won't ask you to work on my car if you don't ask me to clean your house.I put my dreams aside to raise my boys, so now I enjoy spending time alone working on my writing. I recently became interested in photography and plan to pursue classes. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, Frisbee, badminton, festivals, live theater, art museums, golf, swimming, walking thru cornfields, eating peanut butter from a spoon, laughing with friends and movies that make me think, or keep me on the edge of my seat.At the risk of sounding selfish; I have spent most of my life taking care of others and now I am looking for someone who is able to give of themselves unselfishly. I'm not looking to be taken care of, just cared for. It's important to me that you have a favorite restaurant you enjoy visiting, I also have one I enjoy. I care that you like your coffee a certain way, and I like mine a certain way as well. I would like to find someone who understands that I have different interest, different likes and dislikes. At times I would like to share those things with this person as I would want them to share their interest with me, other times I would like to go it alone. I would like to find a friend first and see if it evolves into a partnership. I am looking for someone who can offer me good conversation, laughs and a companionship in which we both will be considered and appreciated. Actions speak louder than words. We don't know how to be alone. So we wander round this desert, and wind up following the wrong Gods home.....…..learn to be still. ~Eagles~ Surprise me, I love surprises.
