Let me jump right in with the things I love: I love the outdoors (hiking, skiing, skating, etc.). Out in nature is where I find peace. I've done everything from helping clean up the coastline (I don't ascribe to a "princess" mentality) to a 5K run/walk to planting trees. I'm driven to making the world a better place while I'm here. Also, when volunteering, I get a sense of community--something that's lacking these days.I'd like to meet someone who shares a lot of my beliefs and interests, but also has a few separate hobbies. I don't care how little or how much money you have--I'm self-supporting. Every once in awhile, I need some alone time to reflect and recharge, and I will gladly give you the same in return. I work full time in a technical career ( Monday to Friday) My kids are all grown now so I know it's time for me to get on with my life. There is still so much to see and do in life yet and looking for someone to share the future with. I want a man who is intelligent, wise with finances, who is open minded and non-judgemental about life and people. I think I am easy going and open to new ideas and opinions. I've learned to not take life too seriously and not sweat the small stuff, and after raising four daughters, I've learned a whole lot about life and what is really important. I like hockey, and hope the Oilers can pull off a better season this year. Started golf last year, still no good, but loving it. I really enjoy all music, I guess country is maybe my first choice.I have four daughters and three grandchildren that are the center of my universe. Family is extremely important. I would most likely want to meet for supper or drinks for the first couple of dates, and see where it goes from there.
