Both parties are so nervous. "Is he gonna like me?" "Does she think I'm attractive?" I think it should be fun and relaxed. So usually a nice casual dinner, or just meeting for a coffee works best. Leave the elaborate plans for the second date when it can be more fun. Then the skies the limit.
