Well my sabbatical is over. For the last six months I've intentionally avoided dating anyone save for a few sporadic *** had resolved to focus on myself and my son and in truth it's been quite refreshing. In the end though, man was not meant to walk this earth alone so what the heck....I know most of us would rather look at pictures than read a long profile so for your benefit I put it in bullet points. lol 1. I enjoy life! I'm emotionally mature but still very young physically. I try to take care of myself, have fun, and stay active. I never take myself too seriously and seem to laugh at myself all the time. I've been called a goof ball more times than I can possibly remember. I usually look for the humor in most things. 2. I was raised Catholic, I come from a large (loud) family (# I have two children, a 19 Y/O daughter who's off to college and a 16 Y/O son that lives with me (or more appropriately graces me with his presence) every other week. 3. I'm adventurous and willing to try most things at least once. I love to travel and discover "hidden gems" and tucked away places. I like snorkel snow (a ski term you have to experience to appreciate), the wind in my face, and that all elusive hole-in-one. I travel light and don't have a lot of baggage (emotional or otherwise). If it doesn't fit in the overhead compartment I usually leave it at home. 4. I view life as a journey on an open road, an unobstructed ***degree view with the wind in your face and the roar of life in your ears. I personally prefer to concentrate on the ***degree view to the front. Life is way too short to spend your time looking back, and there is too much to see just over the next horizon. 5. FOR THE RECORD, Here are some things that I take for granted like ... You won't find those bare chested or decked out in camo pics here. I don't even own a "wife beater" or muscle shirt nor do I take pictures of myself in my bathroom. I don't smoke weed or sit around the house in my undies eating cheetos. I still have all of my own teeth and hair. I have a real job that pays and I've never been arrested. Apparently these are no longer the norm? What's up with that? LOL What am I searching for (although I seriously doubt that she truly exists, besides Giada De Laurentiis or Jennifer Aniston of course)... 1. Her smile is a great starting point. Then the eyes, which are the window of the soul, must be open to all the possibilities life has to offer. She needs to know who she is and where she's going and be willing to enjoy all the twists and turns along the way. 2. She doesn't need her life to be completed by me, but complimented by me and I for her. 3. She likes my children, goofing off in the yard, taking a play day from work, sneaking away for the weekend, chillin' out at home, and is a little wild and crazy. Not jealous or controlling but affectionate and caring. Passionate, playful and alive. Life is too short to waste it. Every first date is unique.

I'm hoping my next "first date" will be my last "first date", and not because I've given up. I'm adventureous and spontaneous, yet stable and calculated. I'll try anything once and if it's fun I'll act like a 6 year old and repeatedly ask "can we do that again?". My motto is "Work hard, play hard". I'm up for any spur-of-the-moment trip to "someplace else". On the flip side, I love staying in on a cold night and playing games, creating fun contests, experimenting out of a cook book or just making a roaring fire in the fireplace and chill-axing. During the summer it's all about boating for me. I mean, really, is there anything better than being on the bay on a beautiful day with great friends, food, music and Coronas? I find myself single because for the past 4 years I've invested a lot of time and effort to being a first-time business owner of an amusement park. So by circumstance, my personal life had to take a temporary backseat to this endeavour. But at the end of the day I know what the most important thing in life is....love. So I'm looking for someone who can accept that I love them second to my business (joking). Chemistry, fun, honesty and intelligence are on the top of my "seeking list". And, oh please, if you are flakey about being in a relationship, please don't waste my time. If I caught your interest...say hello. Who knows....either we'll live happily ever after with a beautiful family or you can get a free go-kart race (which you're bound to lose to me) and we part as friends. That's a win-win, right? How about meeting at a martini lounge or wine bar for some drinks and laughs?
