About Me

I'm interested in nearly everything; a problem solver who's never been prone to thinking 'inside the box'.-- who loves to laugh, a voracious reader, being out in the garden year round, creative or home improvement projects, interesting/intellectual conversation, expanding my mind, exploring new places, and meeting new people; plus the music is always on in my world, always! I'm a girl - I own a zillion pairs of heels to go with the little black dresses hanging in my closet []. But most often default to my cowboy boots to dance in, or my beloved flip flops + a good glass of wine while out digging in the garden or hanging out with friends & family. Love the sight/sound/smell of the ocean, or any body of water. I love to fly, and would travel the world if I could afford it. I also have a wicked good sense of humor, so you'll definitely need one too; it's a 'must have' in my world! The ex got to keep the unhappy life we were living, plus the friends who weren't really friends. Yet for the longest time, I believed I'd lost everything. Took me a bit longer to recognize the gift I'd been given -- the freedom & luxury to begin again, and who among us hasn't wished for a do-over at some point in our lives? I finally embraced mine with extreme gratitude, and now am happier than I've ever been. I'll always miss the feeling of having family around me; I grew up in a large extended family + had a fantastic experience raising my kids, but now it's just me, which admittedly can be a bit rough at times. I've paid my debts, purged the majority of my possessions, and happily watched my children settle into their own lives. I've no responsibilities other than to myself, the dog the kids left behind, and my elderly mother who's nearing the end of her journey. I'm now looking forward to doing all the things dreamed of but put aside in our early adult years, while we invested ourselves in building careers & raising children. Living through the hardships taught me the true gift of life -- tomorrow is always another day to get it right. "Just when the caterpillar thought its' life was over...it became a butterfly."; forth from city to country several times throughout the years, so I'm open to just about any direction at this point, and am more than willing to relocate for the one I don't want to be apart from. I have no set agenda for what the future will look like, or who I might be fortunate enough to spend it with --... My arms are free of baggage, my heart is wide open, and my soul is drawn toward what lies ahead - the proverbial blank slate ready for life's next great adventure, a new journey with a map yet to be written. I'm not here to endlessly date, or be someone's companion until they figure out what they really want. So if that's what you're here for, please be kind & pass me by. I'm simply seeking one man, who comes equipped with morals & personal integrity, to build a deep, lasting connection with.     I'm not very good talking about myself, but here goes! I love the mountains; hiking is just one of my favorite pastimes, along with "trying" to fly fish, I just had my first lesson. I like visiting the beach, cooking, baking, entertaining during the holidays, Christmas is my favorite time of year.
