I am a single mother of two teenagers, one of which moved out this year. I have been seperated for 3 yrs and soon to be divorced. Long story I will explain if the need arises. I am a nurse and have done private duty nursing for the past 6 yrs, which I love. I enjoy all outdoor activities and am very active. I would love to learn how to ride a motor cycle and travel after my youngest is grown. I try to work out at least ***times a week and do NOT do ANY drugs nor do I wish to be around anyone who does!! I'm not a super model but I'm secure in who I am inside and out. I love all types of music and would rather have the radio on as opposed to the tv when I am home. I enjoy working outside in my flowers and miss having a garden tremendously. I am not high maintence and do not need someone or their paycheck to take care of me, but it would be very nice to have an EQUAL counterpart and companion to enjoy things such as bowling, playing pool, dancing, fishing, camping, boating, amusement parks and just about anything exciting....that isn't a lying pill head! I am new to the online dating scene and want to make it clear I AM NOT HERE TO HOOK UP, so if thats your goal please don't waste either of our time by contacting me. Did I mention I am pretty direct also. :-) I am pretty easy to get along with and enjoy doing a lot of different things. I think a first date should be what ever both people enjoy and should be kept very light. If I can see an effort has been made then you will have made a good first impression.     Ok, where to start... But don't let that throw you, I'm as equally comfortable downtown as I am out in the country.I like to stay pretty active - out dancing, hiking, walking down to the Wedge (Yay Bull & Beggar!), and running in the mornings. I went to LSU and so enjoy watching NCAA football on Saturday nights. And as much as I love to be out around town, I still just enjoy hanging at my house, watching a movie or going for a walk around the neighboorhood. I do have a tv, but don't have cable of any sort - so I'm not really up on any new shows. Unless it's Mad Men.I have a great job that I love which allows me to work from home when I want (ridiculously nice perk). So basically I sit in front of a computer all day, but again, I enjoy it. I've also been fortunate in my life to have traveled across the globe and have made some good friends along the way. I absolutely love going to new places and experiencing the local flavor. However, I do draw the line at eating bugs. Crunchy Ew.A few important tid bits to know about me: I'm pretty independent, a complete news junkie and have an opinion on just about everything.Anyhow, I'm very happy, and I would very much like to share some of these parts of my life with a gentleman and have a family.     Hi,Let me start off by saying people intrigue me and I often find myself wondering what they're thinking. I'm very much a people person and I’m very open-minded to new adventures and cultures. I’m usually not afraid to try new things. I like to go dancing sometimes and love when you can feel the music going though you body. It’s the feeling of the adrenalin that I enjoy. My career is currently on hold for the time being, however I still continue with my skills so I don't lose them.
