Hi there!Well I decided to re-write my profile.... I think being direct and to the point is how I am normally in life so why sugar coat my write up. I have learned from being on and off this site that I don't understand the dating world now a days. I spent over the last decade in two long term relationships. I know what love is. I know how I should treat someone and how I want to be treated. I know what morals, respect, and values are and I actually live by them. When I say something, I mean it. Now that I've chosen to experience this dating world I have realized a lot of people have lost that. I was raised my amazing parents who have always been there for me. I realized after growing up what it took for them to stay together, work through the good and the bad, and still end up loving each other after 40 years of marriage. I know in my heart that if a man can provide me with the love and respect they have for each other than I will be one happy woman!I have worked hard to secure my life. I have a career, a side business, a beautiful home. I try to keep pretty active and I`m looking for someone with a similar mindset; I do crossfit 3 times a week, running 3 times a week, and I can easily be suckered into anything that has to do with water! I love the summer heat and anything to do with being outside. However winter and I are not friends lol... But come any weekend it's R&R or random adventures. I'm looking for someone that knows who they are and what they want in life. I'm very confident in myself and would want that in my partner. I know that I want a family. That is very important to me. If you are not interested in children please don't bother messaging me. And I apologize to any single dad's but I'm not looking to become involved with someone that already has children. I have already done that and I am not willing to put myself through that heart break again. If you haven't gathered already I'm not shy to speak my mind. I'm not your typical female either. I am here hoping to find my perfect match... Someone fun, kind, understanding, honest, driven, trustworthy, romantic, with a good heart and sense of humor (and you must love my dog)! I want someone who makes me a better person, and I do the same for him in return. I also value chivalry... The little things you do for each other definitely have a big impact on a relationship. I enjoy and love animals...I spend time volunteering for a local animal shelter. I think the greatest thing would be to work directly with animals in the future - perhaps for a rescue - or maybe open my own doggie daycare. That being said, if you don't like animals, then we definitely are not a match. I like being active. I workout and lift weights and enjoy activities such as volleyball, hitting the punching bag, rollerblading, swimming and other water sports. I also like down time...Reading, or curling up with my dog (or the right guy!) and some stove-top popcorn to watch a movie. It'd be nice to find someone who can participate in these activities and enjoy them with me.When it comes to music I listen to alternative and country most of the time. I like writing, trying new restaurants, reading, painting and drawing, craft beer, concerts and spending time with loved ones. I am neat and clean, and would like someone the same.I am hoping this site will help me find a guy who shares similar interests and who is looking for some of the same things I am in dating - I am looking for something serious...At some point I would like to find that mythical "one." I really didn't think it would be so hard or take so long! That being said, I don't latch on to guys just because I want to meet someone - you have to be the right someone and I'm really not up for wasting time. I enjoy a man who will challenge me mentally and can participate in a bit of playful banter, however if all you have is making fun of me, then don't bother...Real men don't cut women down and I will not put up with it. Side note, I am also unimpressed by photos of you in the mirror with your shirt off - Fitness is important, but ultimately I don't want someone obsessed with his own reflection. Casual, fun and maybe even a bit creative... Anywhere we can talk and get to know each other better.
