About Me

Hello and thank you for looking at my profile! Because we all lead busy lives, this seems to be the best way to reach out and meet new people outside of my own circle. My hope is that I can meet someone with whom I enjoy their company, have shared interests, and be enriched by another's perspective on how to live life. We all have our own way of doing things, and I find that I'm better off and enlightened by the insight and experience from another. My hope is that there would be an attraction or chemistry of some sort. I think it's next to impossible to determine chemistry from looking at profiles on line. So I look at this process as simply an opportunity to introduce myself, try to learn about another, and determine if it's worth taking the next step to talk or meet in person.What you might learn about me is that I'm a mature, responsible, intelligent, and pretty well balanced person emotionally, mentally and physically. I'm a sales manager in media and have been in this industry for quite some time. I manage people and give them a lot of myself throughout the day so I make it a point to take care of my self on my own time. That sometimes means giving myself alone time to focus on my needs and interests, or just spending time with friends. I have many interests and finding things to do is not a problem. The media business has easily offered me a busy social life. You might find me at concerts, events, art shows, restaurants, or at a sports event. And you may find you'd like to come along! On my own time, I find that I enjoy walking and biking outside. I'm happiest outside, particularly in the parks. There's something wonderful about connecting with nature. I also love animals. At one point, I had hoped to be a travel writer and photographer. That didn't happen. But I sure loved the idea of it. I think he has a great life making a great living looking at some of the best scenery in the world! I love to travel. Coming from a European family, (and my parents were college language professors), I guess it's just in my DNA to want to learn about people and the way they live. I guess what I'm looking for is someone kind, curious, mature, sensitive, responsible, caring, with a strong sense of self and a good sense of humor. It'd be helpful if you like being around people, and if you like to be active. I also think having shared interests is important. I think participating together in activities can bring two people together to learn more about one another and to grow a relationship. As I read this, I find I've only touched the tip of the iceberg about me and what I'm looking for in a companion. I haven't talked about my love of music and my love of business and art! That'll just have to wait for the next conversation! I can honestly say that I really enjoy my life. I've had a lot of fun over the years, and I really looking forward to what the future brings. I find that one can only get to know someone if they're relaxed. It can be a short meeting...just long enough to determine if there's enough there to go on a second date ...or not. LOL I have been off this site for over a year - was just fed up with the crap you have to deal with. However, I am ready for a great ***and want to give all options a chance. So, here goes nothin ... by the way my update below from quite a long time ago still stands true - friends first and see where it goes ...UPDATE: If you are only fishing for SEX, take your fishing pole to some other pond! It seems lots of creeps on meetville - that is all they are looking for! I grew up with a dad who took me fishing a lot but I am tired of this online fishing! There are so many creepy fish out there! They are good kids - just trying to express themselves. Are you adventurous and fun and a little crazy at times with a serious side as well? As for music, I am pretty wide open with my likes - everything from rock to country to Christian to folk and jazz. Even classical on occassion. Music I listen to depends on my mood. The only kind I don't care for is rap and head banging heavy metal (oh yeah and Opera). I used to write poetry, draw and watercolor paint, but over the years as a single mom, I got too busy to do it. I still write poetry sometimes. As retirement years come around, I hope to get back to those hobbies. In the mean time, I enjoy my flower and vegie gardening in the summer months and cooking in the winter months. I also enjoy taking nature photos when I get a chance. I have to say up front that I am really not attracted to guys with a heavy beard and full facial hair (gotee or mustache is okay - not bushy beards***sorry. I would like to be in a relationship with someone but if it is not right, I would rather be alone. I have been divorced 16 years now. I have raised my daughter on my own and she is almost grown up now - just turned 19. Yeah! Time for me now. I am attracted to taller guys with a somewhat professional side or at least smart - don't need to be in a white collar job. I like a guy who can wear jeans/get dirty - Mr. Fixit type/Outdoors type. I have lots of projects around the house I can't do myself and it is always more fun to do things with someone rather than alone. :( I love nature and being outdoors. I have two cats and a small dog - just letting you know in case you are allergic to them. For those avid sports lovers - I like the social aspect of it all, but not much into just sitting and watching the games.. :( I rarely if ever watch or attend a football (except the Packers) or baseball game and I don't golf.I don't really spend too much time on this meetville site but last year I was sitting at the dining room table on my laptop and searching through profiles on meetville saying YES, NO or MAYBE MEET (I don't bother with this anymore), when suddenly there was a loud thud on the patio door. I looked over and there was a Mourning Dove dazed and confused sitting on the ground staring back at me. In less than a few seconds, a large Red Tail Hawk landed and swooped up the Mourning Dove and flew away. The only trace of this was a scattering of Mourning Dove feathers on top of the snow. I am thinking this is probably a sign from God about this site! LOL I am not really active on here much but I do peek now and then. By the way - guys with NO pic I will not respond to unless you can send pics. Also, I am not into the IM chat thing, so PLEASE send a message. I won't spend too much time writing anything now. I would rather meet in person and see if there is a connection and chemistry. Need to just meet first to see if there is a connection so any public place would be fine - dinner, drinks, coffee, lunch - walk - talk.
