I give freely, laugh out loud and love life. I'm a mellow, fun person with a positive outlook who believes happiness is an inside job! I've a pretty independent spirit and strive to be non-judgmental and accepting. I can put on heels and dress up, but I'm most comfortable in a swimsuit, tee shirt, flip flops. I love trying new things (just got Open, Nitrox & Advanced certified in Scuba ***!!), plus all the stuff listed above, concerts, bike rides, picnic, fishing, art galleries, etc. I'm hoping to find someone to do these things with (as well as what you like, of course!) but also to just kick back with, make dinners, hang by the pool, howl at the moon, cuddle, enjoy each others company. Lets take long weekend trips and play hookey! I prefer not to follow the beaten path and shy away from "upscale" resorts and crowds of people. I know how to appreciate life, relax, soak up the sun, and take in the sights.; blue skies and blue water turn me on. I love all animals, nature, and have a little wiener dog... and I tend to play it LOUD! Gotta say, can't do Country though.I'd enjoy a man who's (glass-half-full-kinda) happy, affectionate, spontaneous, and that doesn't take himself too seriously. Ultimately, I want a fulfilling relationship, I believe everything is better when I'm sharing my life with someone. Happiness I have, but my heart desires to be full. I have no children or crazy ex husband (but I was married for ***years), I have my own home, am not here looking for a sugar daddy or a handyman. Question: when you strike up a conversation with someone in "real" life, do you ask her how old she is when you meet?! See what I mean?-holed on a search engine. Let's talk on the phone, then for a first meeting, just something quick to see if we click in person (and you look like your photos-mine are all current within a year). Hi!Thank you for stopping by! I enjoy the outdoors, the warmth of the sun and good friends. I have a 23 y/o daughter and she is currently living at home. She is a recent graduate from Hamline University. I asked her to say one good thing about me for my meetville profile. She rolls her eyes and says, "ugh...really? I guess you would be the cool mom." I realized that being the cool mom is not so bad. .......... I have never married, however I was in a 23 year long-term relationship with my Daughter's father.I am the property manager at a ***unit residential rental home community. I am in the process of finishing my last semester towards my Bachelors Degree in Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice and currently enrolled in my last two classes. I graduate in December ***. I volunteer for many non-profits, such as; a victim's advocate/liaison, the annual "Hope Rocks"-call for one of the Metro Sheriff's Departments. My journey has made me who I am and I feel good in my own skin. I tend to be competitive, walk off the beaten path, and I occasionally will step out of my comfort zone. I prefer honesty over flattery and I have a low tolerance for drama. Our vulnerabilities and imperfections are often what allow others to relate to us. My favorite types of food include; Sushi/sashimi, Thai, Indian, Mexican.....however a burger and a beer at a small town bar is always a great option. I feel like I'm writing a mission statement but here goes.....Rather than waste anyones time, here's whom I'm hoping to meet. I'm not concerned with whether or not you are white collar, blue collar, no collar what so ever... Just a man who is self assured. Can hold a conversation. Comfortable in his own skin. Someone with the maturity of a man but still holds on to the joys of being a boy. A man who takes pride in his appearence, is compassionate, kind, affectionate, thoughtful would be nice..........you get the idea. Would love to feel that thrill of being breathless just by seeing you. I'm 49 yrs old, 5' 1/4" tall. I'm fairly athletic so in pics I end up looking like I have football player shoulders and arms. Simply said, I look terrible in pics... My friends and family would describe me as very friendly, kind, thoughtful, loyal,generous, good sense of humor...I have no problem laughing at myself. I'm very affectionate...I believe that your word is your bond and have raised my children to value that.... I prefer to be outside...like the summer better than the winter. Yes,the wave runner is mine, the boat sadly is not. I also have a little Harley sportster (best thing I've ever done for myself) I don't mind the cold if I get to ski,sled,tube or skate. In essence, I enjoy life!I have two great children whom I simply adore. Love watching them both play lacrossse and my sons football. Have two best friends one for 40 years(yikes) and the other for 34 years(she's also my business partner). I am lucky enough to also have a large group of other amazing friends. I come from a very big family and we all like each other. I hear more often then not that us all getting along is unusual. So all in all...I have been very blessed. I am surrounded by children,family and friends who love me. In that, I am rich beyond imagination. Sadly, in the romance arena I have not been so blessed. I'm very hopeful that will change.
