When I am not bound and shackled to my job, I like exploring what this area has to offer. I *** or two once in awhile, used to go hiking at least twice a month and run/ practice yoga/ do Crossfit/ cycle around town but I am dealing with an overuse injury right now (not fun), travel overseas, visit with friends and family, museums, etc... I prefer being active but don't have a problem staying in for a night. I do listen to music but I refuse to listen to death metal, country music that talks about tractors and trailers, rap that talks about 'popping a cap in someone' and 'itches and hoes.' I don't find such music pleasant as I cannot relate to the situation. Otherwise, I'm pretty open to listening to many different things. I lived in the NOLA area for a little while and discovered Cajun and Zyedco music (neat stuff.) I have been blessed to have lived in several states so far and have dicovered things that make each area of this country great. As I mentioned, I like to travel and try new things. In any case, fun times are ahead and maybe you will be interested in joining me? Honestly, a movie or a show on the first date is nice and all but you don't really have the chance to get to know the person. I would prefer to find any activity that we could do together that requires us to talk and work together. I'm up to try new things so let us go exploring.

First off, thank you for being part of the 3% that actually reads the profile. I don't blame ya, of course, I can barely make it past the height...I was tempted to cut and paste an old middle school essay on Stonehenge (with photo of my brownie reconstruction), but I have some time to kill before spin class. I'm often told I have a "guy" mentality on things. And by that, I mean, I pee standing up. I kid! I kid! I appreciate dirty humor and am drawn toward the elusive combination of**** yet chivalrous. Self confidence is hot. So are good triceps.Although I am extremely open-minded, I will not date civil re-enactors, bad tippers, bad spellers, and people who use the words "irregardless" and "supposably." You must also pass the escalator test, assuming you are one of the lucky that make it that far.....), but have traveled extensively around the country with my previous career as an archaeologist (no, I didn't dig dinosaurs, yes, I have a whip). I still have the wanderlust, so an adventurous spirit is a must! I firmly believe that a first meeting should be temporally short, with the option of extension. Time is valuable and if a connection isn't there, then I'd rather not waste my time. Unless you're taking me to Alinea. Then I'll deal with the fact you look nothing like your photos. Kidding. Hello, I'm a single mom who loves sports like football, base/softball, basketball, and etc.I'm looking for someone who would like to be with me and my teenage kids.
