About Me

So, going on the ideas listed above, my hobbies would include trying to live a more active and healthy lifestyle, a good book and a drink from Starbucks, and general artsy/crafty things. I've also done a few 5k runs, and try to supplement my running with Crossfit workouts (I try my best!) I enjoy watching hockey games, and am a Habs fan, but to be completely honest I only follow hockey during the playoffs. I'm a recent B.Ed grad, and want to have a career working with youth. I'm not 100% sure if I want a classroom job or not, but I'm very passionate to help those kids in need. If I was a classroom teacher, I would love to teach biology! I chose my profession based on my desire to make a difference in the lives of youth, and learning (and school in general) has always been a passion of mine.; I'm a homebody that way. I grew up near the ocean and absolutely love the sound of the waves crashing on shore. I'm very apprehensive about trying new things, but I will always try. I'd love to try hiking, canoeing, and camping, but I have a genuine freak out issue with spiders and "creepy crawly" things; though, I do have a degree in Biology (from Dalhousie, which includes a minor in Psychology and History)I suppose I should talk about my taste in music - but I'm pretty easy going. I listen to the radio, but grew up with CCR and old school rap (like Snoop, when he was good) I follow a few TV shows, but have yet to see all the Star Wars movies (I know, I know) and most of my friends think I'm quirky (unique, right?) and funny. I'd like a first date to be something with a relaxed atmosphere where you can get to know someone. Dinner and a movie is too cliche and almost feels like too much pressure - and you can't chat during the movie. Or the putting edge or bowling, maybe even skating on the oval. Dinner might be okay - but who really wants to watch someone eat? Plus, I'm a picky eater. Or, drinks and board games!!!! Chess at Starbucks! Okay.. I'm a little nerdy.

    Most people would describe me as very outgoing, fun to be around, makes people laugh, confident, diligent worker, goof ball at times, and overall enjoys life.     Honestly I am just keeping my options open and opening up a new opportunity to meet a good man. I work weird hours and I'm over the bar scene so that makes things hard. I am a Registered Nurse with a BSN at a large hospital working on a med/surg step-down unit. I like my job and feel proud of what I do. I get to make a difference in people's lives. When I am not working I like to go out and have fun...mostly that entails spending as much time as possible with family and friends. During the summer I like to go fishing, play mini golf, play on the beach, jet-skiing, water-skiing, etc. Anything on water pretty much! During the colder months I stay in and watch football or go out to local bars with my friends for some fun and dancing, or attempting to snow board. My family is very fun and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I am a funloving girl that can have a blast doing anything. I am always trying to make people laugh and I try to always be smiling and having fun in any situation. Life is a gift and we really need to find the humor in it. I am not afraid to admit that I'm weird...but I don't know whats "normal" so whatever. I'll do anything to make people laugh even if it makes me look stupid. I just want someone I can be myself around without the constant pressure to be perfect because I'm not and never will be :)
