I'm pretty much a modern version of a 50's housewife! I have a career I love (as an American Sign Language Interpreter) and I actually enjoy "domestic duties" like cooking and cleaning.I like going out to eat, trying new restaurants and dishes, and I don't like going to loud bars or clubs. I prefer being in an intimate setting with a few good people, think more along the lines of a****ail party compared to a kegger, rave, or large house party.My favorite time of the year is fall! I love the colors, the weather, the comfy clothes, apple cider, and that fall smell in the air.I spend a good amount of my time with my family and friends, and I am extremely loyal to the people that I love.I really do love my job,because I get to learn and experience something new multiple times a day. My freelancing jobs put me in all kinds of settings, like classrooms, doctors offices, business meetings, emergency rooms, theater, and pretty much anywhere someone would need interpretation! I also work as a video interpreter, where I interpret phone calls between people who are hearing and deaf.I believe that loving what you do makes for a happier life, and its important to love what you do and be proud of it. As much as I love being in the city, I also love getting out. Whether it’Some of my favorite things are Dogs, lazy Sundays, prime rib, Fall, thunderstorms, cruises, my bi-weekly manicures, and football season (Giants!). On vacations, I like spending half the time relaxing on a beach and the other half actively exploring the area. I prefer to go to local's favorites than tourist spots.I am looking for a man who knows what he wants for his future, is educated and stable in his career, chivalrous, likes/wants to travel, has ambition, couth, a desire and liking for nice things, is intelligent, family oriented, can cook a meal or two, and who communicates well. Communication, balance, and trust are most important to me in a relationship.

I got a "reality" check last November & have since made the hard decisions & sacrifices necessary to pursue that beautiful, peaceful, fulfilling life we all deserve. And I am proud of myself. It hasn't been easy, but it has been a wonderful growth experience. I won't quit until I WIN. ;) It won't be a title, & I won't want fan-fare: just that satisfied feeling in my gut and a life that is worth living. :)I would describe myself as creative, playfully sweet with just a touch of spicy, loving & affectionate. I am a progressive individual who is very self-aware and is continually evolving/changing/growing/bettering myself. I am out-going and charismatic but frequently introverted on-demand when observation is beneficial & information may be obtained. My mood is relevant to the social dynamics of those around me. I guess you could call me a social chameleon. ;)I am the type of person who will choose quality over quantity, cares about how you feel, chooses my words carefully, and loves to laugh! I also enjoy making others laugh with my varying degrees of comedy (the range is cheesy/super-retardo/crass Jerry Seinfeld-esque humor to sophisticated & quick-witted quips!)I smile at gray skies & enjoy a nice thunderstorm. And I have never been afraid of adversity- I face it head on. To me, adversity, sorrow, pain- all of these things are like a huge tidal wave. You can let them swallow you up whole or grab a surf board & hang on! I like to think that I "hang 10" on all the billows that have come my way. And I am riding every wave with a smile! =)The type of guy I am looking for would feel just as comfortable and confident in jeans and a T- He would be intelligent, respect others' feelings, & enjoy conversation but would not be a mooshy/feminine, passive door mat. He would be strong & responsible- a "man's man"- but not an overly-arrogant, stubborn jerk.-sexual snob, & he would exhibit a high level of personal & I am drawn to funny, charming individuals who recognize their own strengths/weaknesses and utilize both to make smart decisions that continually better themselves & the people around them. You can take me to dinner, for the cliche coffee & donuts, to a movie, a concert, dancing, for a nice promenade, etc ;)I am open to trying new things, within reason.
