UPDATE: I've been on the site a year now. Wow. Thank you to all the wonderful folks I have met so far; some who remain pretty good friends. I'm very appreciative of that. While I do know there are the obvious downsides to being on a dating website (the liars, the cheaters, the game players, the "I say I'm athletic and toned, but I'm really ***pounds") there are some good and honest people mixed in. I'm looking for a man that takes great care of his mind, is intelligent and also takes care of his body. You don't have to be a jock, but please...no beer guts or nasty teeth. Sorry if that sounds superficial, but both are a turn off. I take pride in taking care of myself physically although I'm not obsessed with it. Obviously looking for either friends, good friends, or if something sparks then fine. I have no "big expectations" other than to meet people and if something works out romantically, great. If not, I hope to make a new acquaintance. I enjoy kayaking, bike riding (both mountain and road), drinking wine, cooking, eating out at great restaurants, walking the beach, animals, reading, exploring new cities/towns, and just about anything you might want to do. I probably won't sky dive though. I grew up on a farm and know the meaning of hard work, but I do like to have fun as well. Sick of doing stuff by myself! I'm open to possibilities. I have two grown boys, ages 24 and 25. They are successful and do not live near me anymore so I don't get to see them as often as I would like. I currently live with Carl...my faithful feline companion and I'm really hoping that at some point I won't be celebrating holidays with Fancy Feast pies and cat toys. :-) So if you're out there and you are a professional with a stable job, in shape mind and body, and want to pursue something more than a one night stand (which I am not into) then please message me. Something short in duration at first, but with the flexibility to extend depending on whether we like one another and want to spend more time together. So not a trip to Vegas for the first date. LOL
