I still have Midwestern values and a strong work ethic.Music is an absolutely HUGE passion of mine. I'm a devout listener and supporter of KEXP. My favorite genre is Indie and alt-rock. I go to concerts/shows several times a month. Some of the most recent shows I've been to are: Band of Horses, Cloud Cult, Rose Windows, Mudhoney, Black Flag, Best Coast, The Eels, & the Joy Formidable. I really dig 80's music and am quite fond of: The Clash, The Ramones, The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Stone Roses, Bauhaus, Erasure and the Descendents will always be my favorite!I have two adorable children, a son & daughter whom are precious to me and are my priority. I am committed to raising them to be fine, outstanding humans. I'm a package deal, guys! You can't have me without my kids. But don't worry, they already have an amazing father.I am incredibly lucky to have a career that I love and is quite rewarding. I actually wake up excited to go to work every day. I can honestly say that I make a difference in someone's life daily and this is very fulfilling. My career has spanned 20 years and I still am doing something that I am greatly passionate about and it brings me joy. I feel like I won the lottery!For fun, I like to belly dance, go see shows/concerts, frequent indie coffee shops, go thrift-store shopping for amazing treasures, exploring the city and different neighborhoods, attend film, dinners, happy hour, house parties, art museums, poetry readings, hiking in the summer, road trips, and traveling.I believe in taking very good care of myself therefore I'm a devout vegetarian and have been for ***years. I eat healthy, exercise, meditate, do yoga & qigong daily. I believe in prescribing meditation *** "medication". It's amazing what just 10 minutes a day of meditation will do for you.     This is always such a hard thing to write. Ugh. Ok, well I am 42 years old and I have one son that is going to be 12 years old, who is my LOVE!
