About Me

Thought I'd give this a try and see what happens. I am changing many things in my life and looking for new adventures/friendships/relationships.I believe honesty and a sense of humor are very important. If you can't laugh at yourself from time to time loosen up a little! I believe there is a great need for a sarcastic font! I am the type of person who is always willing to help out a friend. I have been described as "real"...which is true..I am who I say I am.I love kids, that's why I do what I do for a living. My family is the most important part of my life and my priority. I have two older boys, they are my world. I love going to the movies, but also enjoy staying in and watching a good flick. Comedy clubs/ Comedians are good for a night out. Love music..some of my favorites: Imagine Dragons, The Script, Staind, Goo Goo Dolls, 3 Doors Down...there are just too many to list. I enjoy reading almost anything from comic books, graphic novels, fiction, memoirs..you get the point. For fun I like to do a little bit of everything..dinner out, discovering new places, walks along the lake/river-walk, listening to live music, being with friends, movies, mini-golf, laser tag, go-karts, getting lost in a book store, I do play an occasional video game (you would probably win)...it's not so much what you do that matters, it's who you do it with...as long as you are both having fun enjoying each other's company all is good :) Last summer I went zip lining for the first time...loved it! Looking forward to going again. I will admit I failed at riding a segway...but maybe one day I will try it again.I'm not into the games that come along with dating. Let's be honest you aren't going to connect with everyone you meet and that's okay just don't be rude about it. As far as the just dating part of this...yes everything starts off as a date, of course if the right person comes along who wouldn't go with that. I've learned to never say never because you just don't know what will happen or who is out there.     I'm looking for someone that is ready to be done with dating and done with games. I am an honest, kind, very loyal woman that loves to spend time with the man I am involved with. I love hiking, biking, walking, swimming, picking up and going away for a long weekend. If I can be outdoors, I am a happy girl! Although, nothing beats a rainy Sunday cuddling on the couch, watching movies, ordering in sushi, and just having a relaxing day with the guy I'm with. I have 2 cats that are getting up there in age, so please don't be allergic to cats - they aren't getting locked up anywhere lol. I do drink socially, but am not into going to bars and sitting for hours and just watching people drink until they can't stand up. I like to be active, I'd rather spend a Saturday hiking up in the NY mountains or going biking in the Poconos than sitting at a bar. And in the hope of trying to narrow down some *** am getting. I do not want children. I am physically unable to have them, and never wanted them to begin with, so that is something that won't change. Also, I am not interested in dating anyone with children, regardless of custody situation. It just isn't for me. I'm sure there are many women that would love to be a stepmother, I truly am just not that person. I am 42, but look much younger. Most people think I am in my mid-30s so I am looking for someone my age, younger, or someone that looks younger. I have never been a girl with "daddy issues", so I am not interested in older men. If you are 45 and look 40, that's great. But I have to be honest, I'm just not going to be interested in someone that looks much older than me. I know I say it above, but I am truly only looking for someone that has a similar schedule. If you work nights and weekends - we aren't going to work out. I recently went through that for over a year - there is no point for me to try it again, it was a waste of time. Time spent together is crucial. I want to travel together, go on weekend trips, have dinner together during the week. If time can't be shared, I just don't see the point. I'm not looking for a hook-up, only a serious relationship. These things are def deal breakers.
