About Me

First and foremost, I am a single mom to three beautiful children. They are my life, but they are getting older and more independent and it's time for mom to find someone to complete her.I am the type of woman that can have a good time wine tasting as well as pitching a tent and camping for the night. I'm outgoing and enjoy being adventurous. I love to travel, especially to new places, and find that I am pretty spontaneous about making plans. If I find a free weekend, I just may head out somewhere to enjoy. I have many goals in life, the biggest, right now is my education. I am currently attending school to receive my bachelor's in human services with a concentration in management. I don't plan on stopping there, and will continue to receive my master's in psychology. Besides career goals, I have personal goals to travel to many different countries. I love learning about culture and other parts of the World and I would love to see these places with my own eyes. With kids, work, and school, there isn't much time for hobbies, but I make sure to manage my time so that I can have some free time to myself. When I have time to myself I love to do yoga or zumba. I also enjoy hanging out with my current friends and meeting new ones. I am a pretty sociable person and love meeting new people. I am not a homebody and rarely watch tv. I do enjoy movie nights snuggled on the couch, but every night of that gets old real fast. I get bored pretty easily and need someone that likes to do stuff. As research has shown, couple who participate in exciting activities, rather than pleasant, are more likely to have a satisfying relationship.Overall, I try to live my life in a very positive way.     I listed my personality in one word above as 'Animal Lover' because 'Bookworm' seemed incredibly nerdy and how is 'Sarcastic' not an option?! That aside, I am a science teacher who has not gone mind numbingly mad from middle schoolers day in and day out. Honestly, I kinda like my job. It took me until I was 30 to decide what I was going to be when I grew up so I'd like to stick with it. I like to hike in the summer and ski in the winter. I have a six year old son who I am getting into hiking and movies that blow his mind. He just watched Goonies and is now hooked. He wants to hike a 14er next summer so we were hiking a lot before it turned cold. Speaking of cold, I like this season called 'fall' we get here. I never saw it growing up in the South and it is damn near perfect before 'winter' sets in (also something I didn't see much of growing up along with 'snow').I'm a pretty open person so if you have a question just ask. I also don't take myself too seriously. I mean who can when 8th graders are critiquing you daily. Also, my heading comes from a favorite movie of mine and was the only thing I could think of when asked. It was either that or 'As you wish' which seems a bit much considering.
