I was born in the Azores (Portuguese) and although I’m fluent in English and all American customs I have retained my old world values and ethics. Life has been tough at times but I value those experiences and have learned from them. I value family and friends and prefer an evening with them rather than a large party. Occasionally enjoy a nice restaurant but most of the time I prefer cooking side-by-side, warm fire, and glass of wine. Like gardening, picking fresh fruit and vegetables.Life is too short. I believe that differences can be overcome and lasting love can be sustained IF two people work hard and consistently show mutual understanding, respect and cherish each other. I forgive quickly, kiss slowly and passionatelly, love deeply and truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that has made me smile. Sometimes the word 'love' is used too looselly and when i say it i really do mean it. Meet for light conversation over lunch or coffee , , hike with a group, stroll thru the Capitol rose garden or streets of downtown to grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

Well..as usual everyone on here is just playin games. im tired of the back n forth messages that lead nowhere. from now on..if you want to meet then lets meet. im not doing the message nonsense anymore..dont like wasting my time on bored weirdos. i prefer to find out if someones real right at the get go. if you dont like that then keep looking. Im real and looking for a grown up. absolutely no "this feels like an interview" feeling. Just enjoy each others company out having some casual fun. its much more important to me to know how pleasant or fun you will be than whatever the hell was or is going on in your personal life. we all have em. my details will be in my autobiography. :) Halloween is coming...a costume shop would b lotsa fun.You know I just thought of a way to make dating sites more helpful, people should just tell thier actual hangouts...not say beaches, other countries or cities, all that stuff. They should mention actual hangouts, that way if someone really wants to meet them, they could just start goin there, eventually they would meet...right? these days i kinda like Woodys. but never after dark.

Really like my life, but good company can make everything better. I like spending time with my animals - I'm a sucker for four-legged companions - cooking a nice meal to enjoy with a glass of wine, good conversation, and working out. I also enjoy walking - essential with two big dogs - and I'm trying to learn how to fly-fish, but so far spend most of my time untangling knots in the line. I learned to scuba dive a few years ago and would like to find someone who wants to explore underwater, too. I'm a reading junkie, particularly mysteries and some sci- John. Love complex and challenging dramas. Browsing in book stores is an addiction, along with good coffee. Love to travel and would like to see more of the world. I'd like to meet someone intelligent with an adventurous spirit, a great sense of humor and a positive outlook. Politics are way left; I'm pretty much a former hippie who conformed enough to get by. I'm frequently appalled and dismayed at the greed and arrogance of our so-called elected officials and the direction we are heading. Not interested in playing mommy or wasting time on an alcoholic. Sorry if that's harsh, but at least I'm honest! Coffee or lunch for a first date. If it's great we can plan a longer date later and if it's awful, we both have an escape.
