About Me

Can we talk? Seriously, I don't know why this is so difficult! I use to meet men at the deli, driving, baseball games etc. So have men changed? I do see men looking at me, but they seem "sheepish" about approaching...? Why is that? Except for recently, when this guy walked by me a few times, and then actually stopped and talked to me! Unfortunately, no attraction. But at least he "took a shot"! Love that! I am a happy person, and I do believe it shows. I have a very open honest personality, a positive attitude, and good sense of humor. I get along with basically everybody I meet. I have strong values, but not the kind of person which will force them on others. I believe in "live and let live". I am the kind of person who enjoys learning about other people's cultures, languages and faith. I believe that life is so much more than about yourself. If given the chance to chat with someone from another country, religion, or culture, do it. You will be amazed how much we are all actually alike. I hope to find someone who is just as adventurous and open minded.I am very loyal, loving and compassionate. I have learned through experience "nothing is forever"...good or bad. Time keeps moving forward regardless. If you can find someone to "stand still with" for a long period of time, it makes you feel as if you have been able to "stop time". It's a wonderful feeling!! You cannot "fake" chemistry. I am a bit of a "domestic goddess"...lol!! I cook, clean, wash and will massage the soreness out of you. I am very into "taking care of my sweetheart". If you are good to me, I am very good to you. All I require is a man who is respectful, hardworking, healthy, compassionate with a good temperament. I'm not looking for a health nut/gym rat. But if you are a man with weight issues (have a gut, etc), I probably am not the woman for you. Since my cooking will push you closer to being on the "Biggest Loser"...lol...sorry! I would prefer to have a man who is in shape, outgoing, funny, social, full of energy and generous emotionally more than anything else. I'm a bit "old school". By that I mean, I love a man who opens the door for me. Whether it's to a restaurant or car door. Because it's how they were raised, not because they are on "good behavior" for the evening and it's an "act". Trust me, I know the difference. Men who are authentically well mannered, kind, protective and affectionate is a turn-on. Turn-Offs-living with your parents (or not your own residence), not divorced/not single, pushy, demanding, overly aggressive, no personality!I also believe a man should pick-up the phone, and call a woman to go out on a date (women fall in love between their ears!! By hearing your voice!! Not reading your endless texts msgs, and being asked out in yet another text msg!) I know texting is convenient, but it should not be the vehicle for 95% of the communication. Take the initiative (show interest) to discuss the details of the date (where to go, what I like, time, day). If you are chewing food, watching T.V.(loudly), playing a musical ***, guitar etc.), while talking to me, this does not convey I have your undivided attention nor your interest in me is sincere. Either is scheduling/putting off our meeting around a sports event, or favorite T.V. show! If your work, family, kids & friends dominate your life, to the point where it seems like you do not have time for a relationship, then why are you on here? A sense of humor, personality, depth, kindness, and a heart of gold TRUMPS any degree, lack of social skills, shallow, cold, distant, self involved, any day of the week! Yes, a "blue collar" man often is more of a front runner in my book, in comparison to his "white collar" counterparts!! BTW - I have heard stories from some of you, about meeting women who are overweight and don't look anything like their picture. Which I feel is misleading and unfair. With that said, I am more than happy to state I am 5'5", slender, with dark green eyes, and if we meet...you will know it is me...LOL! I still have a Southern drawl...not as strong as it use to be, but it is still present. It's noticeable...LOL! I am very proud of my age, and believe that a mature woman with experience is very sexy! Although most people guess/think I am 10 yrs younger. Which makes me giggle... Whatever is comfortable for both of us. I do love a man "with a plan" though..LOL!
