About Me

I am a single Mom of a wonderful 14 year old boy. I am fortunate to have a job that I really like. I am a Teacher's Assistant and work with children with special needs, Ex: Autism, behavioural, cerebral palsy, etc. I love to cook and spend a quiet night watching a movie, sipping a glass of wine, or going for a drive to the Lighthouse. Which I LOVE!I enjoy reading - especially english history novels.I am looking for a man who is HONEST, has a great sense of humor and is caring and kind, and great with kids. I am NOT looking for a "fling"! We also have a indoor Cat who has Diabetes..........Challenging! But Doable! Your smile is my Window.........open it! :-) Thanks for reading my profile - enjoy your day! ;-) On a first date...I would like to go out for a nice walk along the water, then if all goes well....back to my place for a glass of wine and sit on my deck, watching the stars and talking. Having an opportunity to get to know each other better and relaxing. :)

I\'m silly funny and love to laugh. At the same I\'m very confident and secure with myself. I search for the same mature confident partner to have a cool dating life with and may be family.

Wow - where do I start -- How do you summarize who I am, what I want, and my goals and inspirations in a text box? LOLBut here it goes.I am an IT Project Manager for a SW firm and I love my job. While my job is good, it does not define me.. I would define myself as independent, caring, passionate, and I strive to be kind. Most people say I am warm, happy and love to laugh.I think that it's a woman's job to walk with her man and being there when he needs me, and I would expect the same. I am fairly self sufficient, but I am looking for someone that I want to spend Saturday night hanging out, going to sporting events, concerts, plays and over all fun times, and then can get up on Sunday for brunch and a day in the park.I would love to find someone that I want to talk to first thing in the morning, and the last thing before you go to sleep. While I think love is mutual and reciprocal, I want someone who loves me for me, and my dog and cat. My dog is an extension of me, and if we have issues with animals, I am probably not the right girl. At most I had over 8 animals including 4 horses, a donkey, 2 dogs and 3 cats.... In my spare time, I enjoy fine dining, as well as just hanging in the park with a picnic. I love great beverages. I am extremely loyal to my friends and family. I enjoy running 5k's, as well as long bike rides. Maybe someday I can get a mini-triathlon under my belt. I love to travel - and am hoping to go to India soon. Let's just meet for a beverage, talk for hours, and take it from there...

I'm a God fearing, Bible believing, gun toting conservative. God has blessed me with the gift of being able to see into people. I may get shortly distracted by their outside appearance but I usually can see clear through them. I look for the person they are not the facade they give to the outside world. I try to encourage that inner beauty and build them up. I've found most people my age are either jaded by the world or completely disappointed in it. They've tried so hard to be what they think is required of them by others or who they'd like to be and forget the gift to the world they are just the way God created them. I think we need to embrace who we are and realize, God doesn't make mistakes. We are, at the core, who we were intended to be. If we have issues or wrong ways of dealing with things, that's what needs to change, not who we are. Although I believe in building up and seeing people how they are, I don't feel like I need to be doing renovation upon them. I just encourage them to be all they are meant to be. In my many years upon this great planet, I've learned how to be ok with me and although I will encourage you, I won't be co-dependent. I'm not your savior, and neither should I be and I am not responsible for your problems. And, please don't feel like I need you to save me. That's what Jesus is for. :)I love the outdoors and anything in it. I love to hike, climb mountains and rocks, backpack, swim, ATVs, horses, animals of any kind. I work out at home and sometimes at the gym at the fire station. I also have a very contemplative side. I write poetry when one hits me, I wrote a book, I paint in oil, I play fiddle and I'm generally very artistic. Because I'm very active, I would like someone who is also active. I'm a bit of a health nut. I eat healthy and rarely eat any kind of junk food. I want a lot out of my body and mind and if I feed it junk, I can't do what I love. If your exercise consists of pushing the buttons on the remote, we probably aren't a good match. I seem to get a lot of mail from people who don't take care of themselves or stay active and although you may be a wonderful person, how can we build a relationship when I am out on a mountain and you are in front of a tv? I don't even own a tv. I watch antiques roadshow, baseball and football when I am around a tv. I like an occasional movie but it is a rare occasion. I'd rather be doing something than nothing. I do enjoy my quiet time and down time too. I love to exercise my imagination with a good book. I like to kick back and take life slow sometimes. I'm an EMT and I love this. It isn't my job but I volunteer at it way more hours than I work. I became an EMT because of a need out where I used to live and I stay one because I love to serve others. Being an EMT puts me in contact with people who need someone. Sometimes the greatest benefit I can give is to comfort a child who is scared, a mother or father who is grieving or give a gentle touch and some kind words to someone who is dying. That's why I do what I do. For moments like that when you can touch someone's life in a profound way. I feel they bless me more than I do them by allowing me to have that connection with them. Something low key. Lets see if there is chemistry there and then we can plan our adventures.
