I actually am content and happy with my life. I have a great job...well...actually two great jobs. I work full time in health care...and teach at a local community college two evenings each week. Teaching is one thing I do to 'give back'. I had an amazing professor during my undergrad who made an huge impact on my life. In return, I am hoping to inspire someone else to achieve what they thought they couldn't and to hopefully make a difference in the life of another. I am looking for that one great guy. You know the one....he is kind and compassionate, honest, faithful, funny, adventurous. He loves to debate the issues of the day...stays up on current events....and has a soft spot in his heart for the issues that face our world. He cares about others.. lacks prejudice and arrogance. He is strong...gentle...educated....insightful. He loves to travel...from fast paced cities to secluded beaches to ancient ruins. He enjoys a great burger.....and a fine wine. He loves Indian's baseball...and hopefully OSU football.I'm going to get a little specific here and state that I am looking for a man who is a professional and who is financially stable. Simply because....I am both successful professionally and financially. I have found in the past that when I have been involved with men who do not have the same values/work ethic/education as I... the outcome has not been positive. It may simply be due to cultural issues and the concept that the man feels he s supposed to be the provider. I am well educated and am thankful for that. I work hard. I am the only provider for my family. I save. I invest. I spend and I travel. I fell blessed for all I have: my family, my education, my career, my home - the life I have been given.....As I said....I am really content with where I am in life. My hopes are to find a man to be my partner...my confidant...my friend...someone who will still be holding my hand and telling me he loves me when we are 90 years old. But the key for me is balance. Balance in my personal and professional life. I'm not looking for someone to 'complete me'...to be my 'knight in shining armor'....I'm looking for someone to come along side me...and walk with me thru life. All cliche....I know. But for someone to really be a part of my life...then allowing me to be who I am is really important... showing mutual respect for each other...equality...tenderness...all those things. I also know for a relationship to truly be successful...each partner has to make compromises....its a give and take. I've always stepped up to the plate and played the game fairly and with all my heart. I am looking for someone to do the same...the real deal...the love of my life....a true romance. I am not very good at describing myself but here goes.I am a 47 yr old country girl living her dream. I have a farm that I take care of by myself. I do everything; split firewood, work in the garden, cut 13 acres, take care of the dogs, cats, horses...everything. And still work a 50 hr workweek in sales. I have had to learn to be a very independent person and take care of myself. I seem to do a pretty good job of it so far. I wish I had more time to pamper myself but that just isn't the case. If your looking for a high maintenance kinda gal, I'm not the girl for you. I don't get my nails done and I can't remember the last time I had a spa day. But, I do clean up real nice and love to go out. I love surprises and romance. I am a very passionate person; and I love to show those that are close to me how much I care about them.I love to work out on the farm; I don't need a gym membership to stay fit. I would love to say that I am athletic and toned but I am more fit and healthy. You see as much as I like to exercise and stay healthy...I LOVE ALL GOOD FOOD! Going out to a great restaurant and trying new foods is on the top of my list of to do's! I love to cook and have someone cook for me. A quiet evening in is just as much fun as going out in my book. I love to go for walks on the beach or at a park. I love going to the movies and to go antiquing. I can have fun doing just about anything. Well, I can't say I love getting my car serviced or my teeth cleaned. BUT you get what I mean. :)I am an artist with glass; I make lampwork jewelry and stained glass. I learned both of these in order to help my rescues. Yes, this country girl is crazy over animals. I love all kinds of music except Bluegrass and Hard Rock. I recently purchased an Ipad and now am afraid I have joined the ranks of the App Junkies! Never knew you could get addicted to something like that. :)I am looking to find my guy! Every serious relationship must start with friendship first. No games, no drama please!!! I don't play and won't be a part of them. SO if that is who you are...look elsewhere. I will not tolerate a temper or games. I don't have time for either. NO one should be mean to another. I am looking for a fun loving guy that enjoys similar things as I do but has his own life to bring to the table. A great sense of humor is a plus in my book. An animal lover is a major plus too! I Oh I have no idea what a good first date would be. I don't think it should be too dramatic. I think a great first date would be over a cup of coffee or an icecream cone. I think the perfect first date would be a personal thing. Depending on the other person...it takes two to make the perfect date. :)
